Works good, really shortened the stock for home defense

Fit perfectly on my Remington 870. The installation was very simple. I love the way it shorten it up. I recommend buying the pistol grip as well. That way when you get sick of the way one looks, change it out.

The standard 870 stock is 14". This is manageable, but not comfortable, for a lot of short-ish folks like me. For reference, I'm 5'7", 165 lbs., and wear a "40 short" in suit jackets. A 12" LOP is just right. The rubberized end of this stock is pretty comfy — it's also a little grippy, which is helpful.

The item was returned. It may have been a defect and hot caught on the QC. All Hogue products purchased in the past have been great, sometimes things slip through the cracks.

Nice stock and a perfect fit on a Remington 870 12 ga. But was just a tad too short for my liking. Had to return it. No issues.

Purchased this stock to replace the original stock on a Remington 870 which has a long length of pull. Was easy to replace

I keep my Remington 870 Express Tactical as my home defense gun. At a recent shooting course I found that the OEM stock's length of pull was a little long to be used when clearing buildings and in tight quarters. I found this stock, which looks a lot like the original one, it's just shorter.This stock is well made and feels like quality material. It installed just like the original one, and came with a new mounting bolt. It shoulders nicely and lets you get right up on the gun.I was happy with the forend that came on the gun so I opted for this product, rather than the matching set of stock and forend. It's a nice stock that I would buy again.
