It works well for me except for the taste or flavor. My cough and congestion just sorta disappear about the same time my taste buds acclimate to the new world's phantom flavor. I cannot address their claim of 12 hours effectiveness. After 14 years of Severe Obstructive Sleep Apnea, I am lucky to sleep through 4 fours or more at a time.
