amazing ....... someone i know has one and i just had to get it as well. Works wonderfully, great addition to my communications with Spirit.

My 9 year old son was very excited to be a "spy" with this listening device. On the first day he was excited that he could hear me from about 50 feet away. Then, he couldn't hear anything. We changed the batteries, tried other headphones, and checked the batteries again, but it still didn't work. We returned it.

It does amplify sounds from a distance. The quality was less than I expected. The size is ok. it is easy to use. the batteries last pretty well.

The first unit was defective (obstruction in the scope), but I had a replacement the next day - bravo. The amplifier is very wide band and produces a lot of hiss, which is probably to be expected on a unit in this price range. However, you can improve the performance significantly by adding an external headphone equalizer as shown in the accompanying picture. With this setup, I eliminated the hiss and could clearly hear birds hopping on tree bark at 3.5 KHz. I could also clearly hear helicopter rotor blade noise at 250 Hz even though I could barely make out noise without the microphone (never saw the helicopter). This is definitely a keeper.

It sounds clear and the build quality is great. At least not some cheap plastic where you drop it and it breaks. It's easy on the ears. Recording time is short 15 seconds and have to download sound, but easy fix is simply use a electronic cord ,jack and plug into cellphone other end into listening device and record endlessly through a recording app on cell .

Fast,delivery, but did t need as it was for nephew who already got one. So I never opened it, but it was probably cool,I'm unsure

The thing came decently packaged but once I got the device out of the box it just felt very poorly made. I took it to the woods with my son and the first time that I let him use it the headphones stopped working. It only holds a few seconds of recordings and if you want to record a second time you have to either upload the first file or delete it to hold the second. The only reason that I didn't send it back for a refund is because I just didn't feel like putting up with the refund process. I would not recommend this product to a friend even if I were getting paid to do so. I gave it 2 stars only because I got a couple good laughs with my son only before the battery terminals shorted out and it fried the cheaply made circuit board.

I can hear multiple birds sing with my hearing. I hear nothing with product—even when I aim it at a bird I can see 25’ from the device. I’ll continue trying for a while because I would be so happy if it would work.
