Update, we bought this a third time and it was sweet and pale, not like the first two times, which it was dark purple, almost black and not sweet at all. It for my diabetic Dad, so we cannot use it anymore with the way it is now, unfortunately. It was really nice before. My earlier review is : Good price for quantity. That is why we chose this brand. We’re waiting to see how this works. Beautiful color. We got it for blood vessels, diabetes, heart, eye health. But, the color is so strong that if you keep it on your skin for a minute, it is stained for a day. Women should use this for makeup instead of chemicals.

Bilberry is essential to good eye health. During world War II pilots were given bilberry jam and preserves to eat as it enhanced their night vision and over all eye health. Not going to kid around about my eyes, I value my sight. That being said after two doses of this stuff mixed in a glass of water, I have already seen some improvement as the ambient light is a bit brighter.My night vision is actually pretty good so I am looking forward to seeing what it is like in a week.Great supplement.

Bilberry is good for the eyes, and I prefer supplements without capsules, so I find this better than taking capsules. I seems to work well, but no one can be sure until time has past. These Amazon requests for quick 'approval' , or comment', aren't wise with respect to herbs.

I have been taking this for 2 months every day. There is no flavor and I add it to fiber I was already taking daily. I didn't expect it to do much but today I am noticing that my monitor (35" 3440x1440) has some screen door effect on many darker colors. I am also noticing that text which I considered small before are more visible but it's annoying me since I can see the lack of pixel perfection on smaller text.I am happy with the potentially better vision (can't exactly do a before/after comparison), but now I may have to spend money on higher quality displays. 5 stars

I had bought several of these as I too thought the price was good. But around my third jar I begin to find hair in my product. I didn't want to think that it came from my bilberry so I dismissed it and thought maybe it's my hair even though my hair doesn't shed. I kept feeling leery about it though. So on my fourth jar I begin to spoon it more carefully and I pulled out a long piece of light colored stringy hair. It was so disgusting! I immediately called the company and I had to leave a message along with my phone number. They never called me back. So I tried again and they still has not tried to contact me. I never bought from them again.

Shipping was fast and the package arrived in good good shape. In a rare moment, Amazon's delivery driver followed part of the delivery instructions, putting the package in the right place. I weighed the container before opening it. It weighed in at 10.8 ounces, so I feel that it probably has close the 8.9 ounces of bilberry powder stated on the container. (That is important. I bought a lot of mushroom powder on Temu, where the packages always ran short. These supplements aren't cheap, so you want to be sure that you get for what you paid.) I cannot find any information on the shelf life of this product or the expiration date. I did see in tiny print on the side of the container some nomenclature: NTC.07.24. I assume the NTC stands for the brand, Nutricost. I don't know if the follow in numbers is a born on date or an expiration date. If it is an expiration date, I will be POed, because I got this in the Spring of 2025. Maybe potential buyers ought to look into this before buying it. I wish I would have. Because this isn't clear in the item description or on the container, I am removing two stars from my review. Otherwise, I would give it 5. The powder is a deep vibrant pink color and it has almost no smell to it. I tasted a little bit of it in dry form. It a has a mildly sweet and slightly acidic taste that is barely detectible. The serving size says that it takes one scoop. I looked in the container to find the said "scoop" I wasn't apparent. I sacrificed a disposable plastic spoon to try to find it and fish it out of the container. It was buried on the very bottom. WHY? There was plenty of space on the top of the jar. When it finally came up with the spoon, the powder went flying everywhere. It got on my cutting board, laptop, cell phone, digital scale, and shirt. The powder is very fine and seems to want to cling to everything with a sort of static charge and it tends to make a mess, so I recommend that you open it and use it over the sink. I put some of the bilberry powder in my hot coffee this evening and in melted in without any effort. There was no clumping. It stirred in well. There is no noticeable or off-putting taste in the coffee. I can barely notice that it is in there. I think this would blend very easily in yogurt, juice, water , and cereal as well. There is no need for gel caps for this supplement, because it is easy to take. It isn't obnoxious tasting or smelling. Overall, I am very pleased with the product. I am glad that it is pure and has no fillers or dextrose like other bilberry supplements on the market. However, I am a little angry that its shelf life and expiration is not clear. I think they might have sold me some old, expired stuff, but I don't know that for sure. I just got the item today, so it is too soon to say if it has any positive or negative effects. All I can say is that I lived through the first cup of coffee.

I put this in my Gkids smoothie. They love it and I do too. Even been mixing it in lemonade.

Works well, much improved sight in right eye after ca 3weeks. I add to cup, pour boiling water, quick stir then teabag, makes a pleasant second morning cup after coffee. Container hard to open and close, always some powder spilled from threads, best done over sink. Highly recommend.
