High Quality, and Beautiful to Boot
Simple and attractive in appearance, finely machined, this 56 tooth "big wheel" of a chain ring performs perfectly. Besides delivering just what I needed from it (a 3 MPH boost in the higher gear ratios), it actually weighed 10 grams less than the 52 tooth wheel it replaced. No need to waste your time here: well made, durable, good-looking, and a precise out of the box fit with my crankset, all at a fair price. Nuff said!

Origin 8 gears are great.
The gears are ramped and pinned for great shifting. They fit right and installation was a breeze. They also look cool. On the test ride they shifted like they should and the chain was smooth. I put on the middle and large ring on a 95 Trek 7900.Update: after several longer rides, I love these gears. They are butter smooth and the shifting is spot on.

Replaced FSA 110BCD 50T ring - its ok, not perfect
I bought this to replace a well worn FSA 50T 110BCD and I'm happy to say this fits perfectly - I wasnt worried about the BCD, but the general shape/depth of the ring vs the FSA ring on the FSA crank. It seems well machined, athhough the edges are a little sharp Im sure they'll wear in quickly being Aluminum. A couple of things I noticed - the FSA ring has a small pin on the outside to stop the chain from falling in and getting jammed between the chain ring and the crank - this variant does not. Not a deal breaker, but would be nice to have since that pin has clearly been used in the past based on the marks on it. Also, the Origin8 has shifting ramps cut on the inside to assist shifting from the small ring to the large one - these seem to work well, with one exception - when cross-chaining (small cog at the back, small ring at the front) which everyone knows you're not supposed to do, but we do, the Origin8 ring catches the edge of the chain and constantly tries to shift up vs just rubbing against the side of the chain and letting you know you're probably doing something you shouldn't. I looked at the FSA ring vs the Origin8 and noticed that the FSA is tapered on both sides which makes it thinner than the Origin8 towards the outside of the ring. This means it has just enough clearance to not try and shift - it rubs a little, but not enough to try and shift the chain on the front rings like the Origin8. Its a minor issue, but worth mentioning. I have 2x10 setup and since I paid for all the gears, I like to use all 20.

solid yet light, works well
Bought this to replace a 52t stock chainring. The fit was perfect. The chainring was solid yet very light (lighter than the 52t it replaced). The chain ramps work very well - it is a larger chainring yet chain shifts onto it very smoothly. I definitely noticed a bit more speed on the flats and also some downhills. Very happy with this chainring, and it arrived well before schedule. I first bought a 56t one, which turned out too big for my front derailleur to handle, and the seller prompty accepted my return and credited my account. Very happy with the purchase and the seller.

Great Chain Ring for Your 90s MTB Retro Mod
These rings are awesome for upgrading your 90s MTB to a more modern drivetrain. I used this to replace a worn ring and keep the classic Shimano cranks that were a nice silver. Not much more to say. Use Sheldon Browns calculator to figure out the BCD you need and buy a new chain ring and stop the gears grinding on your retro mod.

Good product - good price
56T chainrings are fairly hard to find. When you do, they usually fall into one of two categories: Plain, non-ramped with questionable performance or expensive. This one is reasonably priced and, more importantly, works great. Fit is flawless and I get quick, precise shifts into this ring. If you are changing from a 52T or 53T ring, be aware that you will probably need to move your front derailler up a few millimeters.Update: After six months of hard use, the chainring is holding up fine. I do most of my riding in the big ring and this one is not showing any wear problems.

Better than oem performance, one minor flaw.
94mm/32t/8-10sp/5bMuch better than I expected. This machine tooled model is the only replacement in could find for my old 90s coda set. This model uses rivets in place of a more graduated ramp. I feel it actually works better than the stamped oem part. Unfortunately one of the rivet pickups falls a bit too close to 1/5 bolts causing a slight bend when adjacent bolt is torqued. --this may not be an issues on all sets. But, I've noticed no problems in ~500 miles with plenty of hills.

love this new gearing
Changed my light touring bike from a 52 -39-26 x 12-36 to a 48-39-26 x 11-34. I found myself shifting much less now, staying in the big ring almost all the time unless I'm climbing a long incline over 8%.
