My favorite curling iron ever!! This iron comes in several different sizes to accommodate most hair lengths. There are many heat settings on the iron. 25 heat settings to be exact! A guide for how to choose the best amount of heat for your hair type is included on the instruction pamphlet. This iron also has what they call a “turbo setting.” This setting increases the temperature of your iron 30% above the setting you have the iron on.The iron heats up VERY quickly! It took 1min, 24sec to go from zero to setting 25. It took an additional 30sec to add on that extra turbo heat. This iron gets VERY hot!! Care must be taken during of use as one could burn easily. All of those warnings said, this is a great iron to have. My hair stays curled longer. The balancing clip seems sturdy and is easy to position. The iron clip holds hair nicely. This curling iron heats up very quickly. If I needed to purchase a new curling iron I would purchase this one again and again without ANY hesitation!

Best curling iron I have ever owned! This was a product I borrowed at my mother in law's house. I was so impressed I ordered myself one. I live where we get much rain and the style stays in all day and into the next day and I don't use an umbrella - just a hood on my coat jacket.No hairspray.In fairness, I must report that I DO use two Aveda products right after washing hair. One is to abate effects of humidity and one is to enhance a mild natural hair wave I have. That being said, I did not have those products with me when visiting and using my mom in law's curling iron but wanted full disclosure on my review. Truly, at age 53 I have gone through many curling irons and bought professionally through my niece who is a stylist. This Conair Instant Heat is impressive for its effectiveness AND the value/price! WOW! Still cannot believe it! Got one for my home's guest bath as well!

I can't believe how great this little curling iron is! It really produces some amazing curls and it wasn't even $10! Depending on how much hair you curl at a time, you can define waves or ringlets with ease. The iron heats up incredibly fast and I love the auto-off safety feature. There are a ton of different heat settings to choose from. My hair is fine and naturally wavy, but I use the 13 setting and it does great. It doesn't have any kind of nonstick coating on it, but it's never been an issue. My hair doesn't get tangled or stuck to the iron at all. I've been using this for several months now and have had no problems. When it eventually gives out, I'll come back and buy another one. Definitely recommended to anyone looking for fabulous curls on a budget!

I wear my hair straight with layers but I like a little wave at the ends and sometimes all over for a change. I have a mini curling iron but it takes forever to heat up and doesn't do a good job. I figured for the low price. I would give this one by Conair a try. I probably should have gotten the 3/4" barrel instead of the 1" but otherwise, it works fine for my needs. It heats up quickly and doesn't fry my hair. While it certainly isn't the best quality and I wouldn't use it everyday on my whole head of hair due to possible heat damage, it's fine for my needs. The metal is a touch rough and sometimes my hair gets pulled a bit which is why I took a star off but, if you're looking for a budget curling iron that does that job quickly and well, this one is a good choice. I would suggest, if you use a curling iron all over everyday, that you invest in an iron that is more heat protectant however.

This curling iron was awesome for the price! I was a little bit skeptical at first, because I found it hard to believe that it would do a good job for that price, but I was proved wrong! The main reason I bought this was because it is dual voltage. I was traveling to Europe, and needed a dual voltage curling iron. I was very impressed with this! It was easy to change the voltage, and with the adapter, I had no problem at all with it overseas. The only thing I would recommend is to put the heat all the way up, because if not it doesn’t get that hot and would take longer. But, when I had the heat all the way up, it worked great! It’s been a few months now since I purchased it, and I still am using it. It still works great, and I am very happy with my purchase.
