Worked as expected using a DC 5v/2a external power supply
3YR UPDATE. Product is still going strong, after years of heavy use. I've seen no degradation in video quality or change in performance. Note: I'm also using an external power supply as explained below, which may be helping my experience, but ... The following original review from 2020 still applies:I’ll update this review if anything goes south. I read a few reviews of the product behaving poorly and dying early. I had a very different experience myself, I was pleasantly surprised.Full disclosure, I had on-hand a 5v/2A generic power brick I’d been using on another HDMI 6x2 matrix, so no need to use the USB power supply - maybe that’s why this worked so well for me?I bought this for a typical reason: Multiple HDMI game consoles, but TV only has 4 HDMI inputs, one is taken by my sound bar, one is used with my laptop when needed, one for my STB, so only one port left for consoles.I bought new high quality HDMI cables to use with this unit. Install was pretty straight-forward, plug in my power brick, run one HDMI to the TV, run the other HDMI to the consoles. Remote came with no batteries but I found the auto-switching worked perfectly to make it fire up whichever console I turned on. Turning on my Nintendo Switch and my PS3 will cause my TV to turn on and change input to the HDMI splitter, but for some reason my XBOX 360 won’t. I think maybe the console doesn’t support sending whatever signal is necessary? I didn’t test to see what would happen if you turn on a 2nd console while one was already on, I typically turn off consoles when I’m done. No issues seen when turning off one console, then turning on another.Anyway, video is clear as day, full HD, no artifacts, sound is great too! This solves my problems in one small and relatively inexpensive shell. I was surprised by how small and light it is, seems pretty cheap. It looks like this same unit is rebranded under multiple different names on Amazon, so I expected it to be problematic. Surprisingly not!I’m going to run with it and hope I get a couple years of usage at least.

Best 4K UHD HDR 18.5Gbps 60hz HDMI 2.0 Automatic Switcher on the Market!
Yes the title's is loaded but when I was looking for a good switcher, I really wish more people mentioned more, then "Works Great." Anyway ever since I got a 4K tv I have been trying to find a good switcher that actually does the job, and is automatic. I use this in my gaming room, and its for my Xbox One X, PS4 Pro, and Nintendo Switch. It has not been an easy task to find a switcher like this. The two switchers I tried before, both advertised as being 4K and suitable for 60hz, and 18.5Gpbs. However the first switcher I got, did NOT support HDR for some reason, so I returned it and tried again. I got a second switcher from a different company, this time it DID work, sort of. If I manually switched it to the proper input it would work, but for some reason it would not detect when the Xbox would turn on, just nothing, if I forced it to switch it would work, but I have this switcher in the heart of my setup and manually switching it was something I really needed to avoid. Enter this switch. This switch is the PERFECT solution, it detects and switches to the right input, without me having to do anything but turn on the console. It fully supports HDR, and YUV 4:4:4. The only tiny critique I have is that it does not support Full RGB, it has to be YUV 4:4:4, 4:2:2, or 4:2:0. Full RGB is not really something readily supported on anything other than PC graphics cards I believe. However the PS4 Pro does, Automatically use Full RGB if your TV supports it. In this case, if the PS4 is sending the Full RGB signal, the picture will cut out frequently cut out. This is not really an issue anyway since PS4 games, even the ones designed for the PS4 Pro run at 4:2:0 consistently. This is a perfect switch, and if you don't know anything about RGB, HDR, or YUV thats fine. I can't imagine you'd need to for this device, it works perfectly with everything 4K I have thrown at it. Just know that if you are having picture issues with the PS4 Pro, or even Xbox One trying changing the RGB to YUV 4:2:0 and it should be perfect.

Needs protection!
I had mine in service for almost 6 years without a problem. It finally died when a combination of conditions were met. The conditions were that I happened to plug in to a non-grounded outlet and that night a lightning storm came through. Since it didn’t have surge protection due to not being grounded, it was toasted. The power light now flickers and no signal is transmitted through the ports. Fortunately, these are still relatively inexpensive. I do think this is a decent device, but make sure you plug it into a grounded receptacle and run it through a surge protector.

Works as it should, solid metal case and weight to prevent slipping
I purchased this switch with a $10 coupon which brought the price down in line with the cheapest, plastic 5x1 switches listed on Amazon. So far, so good. All connected inputs functioned properly and switching between them was easy. The case is metal and weighted, which makes positioning it in a cluttered a/v set-up much easier. It won't slide around on you. The 5 inputs are all in a row on the back, which makes cable management less of a pain as well. The output is on the side, which makes things a little trickier, but not by too much. The included 5V usb power cord comes with an adaptor, but can also be easily used by plugging it into a USB port on your TV, further saving some clutter. The remote is simple and intuitive and functions properly, although I probably won't have much use for it since I won't have more than one device on at any given time, and the auto-switching works flawlessly.Even without the coupon, I'd say spending a few extra dollars on this over the cheaper plastic-housed switches would be worth it for most set-ups. If for some reasons you want your inputs wrapped around all sides of your switch that's another matter, but this solid, metal rectangle does exactly what I wanted at a price I was comfortable with.
