The Complete Tutankhamun: The King, the Tomb, the Royal Treasure (King Tut) Paperback – September 14, 2005

In contrast to the three-volume book by Carter, this book contains a very comprehensive listing of the tomb's contents, copious color photos, drawings by Carter, historical background of the 18th dynasty...I could go on and on. This book is a fabulous reference, both pictorially and in terms of its information. This is a must-buy for a Carter and Tut Fan!!

it takes you back to that era. and after all but giving up excavating they finally get a peak into the 3k yr old living and dying of that lost era.unfortunatly robbers had plummaged even tuts tomb, but what couldnt be carrried out thru a slim hole in the wall was left behind, a dazzeling array of artifacts, astonishing Lord Carnovan, his neice, and Howard Carter. unfortunatly, when tuts body was was finally painstakingly exposed Carovan died of an infection when he nicked a mosquito bite while shaving. he never saw tut.

Great read for an introduction into Ancient Egyptian culture. This makes an excellent resource for a paper or presentation on King Tutankhamun.

This is a Beautiful Book just as described. The photographs are clear and intriguing. My Grandson who is 6 wanteda book about King Tutankhamun. I know as an Adult I would add it to my Library and he will have it for years. The bookarrived sooner than scheduled ( I do wish a order slip was included but the book was fine despite the package beingdamaged which is the fault of whoever handled the mail not the shipper) I was pleased with the book and would encourageothers to buy it.

This book is special for the diagrams. Both the tomb itself, and the many coffins inside each other are complex. The diagrams show how it all fit together.This book is better if you want large pictures of the items:King Tutankhamun: The Treasures of the Tomb Hardcover – April 17, 2008by Zahi Hawass -- but does not show how it all fit together.

This volume exceeded my expectations, particularly at the very reasonable price. Apart from the fascinating story of the discovery of the Tomb it is so well illustrated. The black and white photographs taken at the time of the discovery and the many coloured photographs of the beautiful objects found in the tomb are accompanied by detailed descriptions.

My stepson is really interested in Egyptology. He loves this book and likes to quote me lots of facts from it!

Excellent informative book! If you want only one book on King Tut this is it! It very much lives up to its name - Complete Tutankhamen. Lots of black & white pictures, many color ones, and diagrams.
