This is a good all-purpose food. Of course, the pigeons pick through it and eat what they like first. I put out just enough for one day and by the next morning the feeders are empty. Here in SC it doesn't get very cold in the winter, but when it does, I add popcorn which I but from the grocery store. The pigeons seem to know what they need so I can increase or decrease the amount of popcorn if they want more or less. I know you can buy feed with corn already added but when the weather is warm, even hot in the summer, they won't eat as much corn. This way, by adding my own corn, I can adjust the amount of carbs depending on the weather.
