Is not so precise
I love this watch very nice looking and good price for the quality. The only think is that I was expecting more precision regarding the time. And to setup the week day is complicated.

Awesome watch -
I recommend this watch. The style, size, and visual appeal are perfect for a daily wear option. The metal band is comfortable and easy to adjust. The timekeeping is spot on and with proper attention (winding) it will keep great time. A must for any watch enthusiast.

Dead-on accuracy
I have a lot of watches, including some expensive ones (Rolex Submariner and a GMT Master II). I am really impressed with this Hamilton. The Pros: Nice slim case, Sapphire crystal (normally found on watches costing way more), sturdy pin locking band clasp, protected crown - and here is the best one. This watch keeps time dead on. I set it to an atomic clock, and in a week it is still dead on. This is rare for a self-winding watch - even the Rolex looses a minute here or there. The Swiss-made movement is just impressive. Hamilton claims that during normal wear, this watch can store up to 80 hours of run time - so if you take it off to sleep, it should still be running in the morning. The day and date is a nice featureCons: The hands need better luminescence, you can't read the time in darkness. The date window could be a little bigger. I wish it had a screw-down crown - the crown is protected by the case, but the water resistance is severely limited. I don't expect to dive with it, but I would like to be sure that if I am fishing, I can reach down into 2 feet of water and not have a leak. I know they claim it is good down to 165 feet, but when the seals start to get old - it could leak while washing the dishes. I just have more confidence with a screw-down crown.I still give this watch 5 stars because of the quality of workmanship and accuracy at this price range it is a great deal. It keeps a lot better time than my pretentious Rolex, so it stays in a drawer and I wear the Hamilton!

Just what I Was Expecting & More
I like how it looks on my 7 1/4 in wrist.I think it wears a little bit bigger than 40mm watch.Nice day/date feature, I feel this makes it stand out from most other field watches.Crown guard gives it a good look for me too.50m wr not an issue for me, feel it's good enough to stand normal water splashes, and rain.Very accurate, +1 sec/day max.No AR coating on saphire glass, but I have always been able to see time and date under all conditions anyway.I love the metal bracelet version as I always have the option to swap to leather, NATO, or other straps.Overall great experience so far.! Get it!EDIT: After continuous use, accuracy is up to 0.5 seconds / day!

A mechanical master timepiece!
Long long ago, I had a mechanical watch. We all did! That was all that was available apart from a sun dial or hour glass! My watch was loud, not at all waterproof and didn't keep time very well. I replaced it as soon as I could with a Timex quartz watch as soon as they were invented. It kept time well but not for a long time. After that I had several Seikos. About 15 years ago a friend helped pick a clean simple Hamilton Khaki Quartz watch. I wore it with pride and a lot of comments since then. When it came time to replace it, I really really wanted a watch with the DAY of the week. Who cares about the date? We don't write cheques anymore and no one ever asks you for the date. Knowing the day of the week is far more important. So I began my search. There are several models available. I also wanted an analogue face so you can tell the time quickly at a glance rather than having to recognize the numbers etc as on a digital watch. So I settled on Hamilton. There was a choice of models: Quartz or mechanical. This time I chose mechanical partly out of nostalgia but also mechanical watches are truly mechanical marvels in this day and age. 25 jewel Swiss movement! (It turns out the oldest watch company in USA was bought in the 1974 by the same company who owns Swatch; they moved to Basel in 2003) Furthermore, the back is transparent, a cute feature that allows you to see the winder weight as well as the tiny oscillating wheel. Really neat! Conclusion: The watch is awesome! No regrets! Highly recommended!

Outstanding Watch!!
The media could not be loaded. I've had my sites on this item for quite some time now, this was also my largest purchase yet using "Amazon Resale". First the watch itself - it's absolutely outstanding! it's better than id hoped it would be, the online photos and many YouTube videos do not do it justice, it looks and wears incredible. The finish, construction and layout are perfection. The 40MM is a perfect diameter size and the 20MM lugs make for tons of strap options (see the many pictures I've included, this thing is a true strap monster). The package arrived on time and was packed decently to ensure safe travel. This is my second Hamilton watch, and I am very satisfied with this piece. Now for the "Amazon Resale" aspect - I was very nervous as this was not an inexpensive purchase for me. As stated earlier when it arrived, I was relieved to see it was packaged well and secure. When I opened it, the other box had minimal signs of used (it looked like it was opened and put back) , the front and back of the piece still had the stickers on, so that was nice. The product description said "Used, Good Condition". And after thorough inspection the only signs of "wear" i could spot were very small marks (hard to see without macro) where the bracelet was adjusted, all in all it was very minimal. I was grateful and feel I got a great deal at under $200 below list price. My only small gripe is that in the product description, when speaking of the used condition, it said, "will come in original packaging" and it did indeed have the Box, other Box and inner paperwork BUT. No Manual included in the case like it should have been. I am a bit disappointed in that, as it was stated to be "original packing" in the description, yet no manual inside 🙁. With that said I am very, very pleased with the Watch and will give it a 4-star (really 4 and a half) review as the lack of manual in the original packing was disappointing. Overall, I'm satisfied with my purchase.
