If you love your nugget ice maker, the cleaning process is worth taking 2 days to complete. My ice maker sounded like a loud dying sceaming cat so I knew I was overdue for a cleaning. My husband said the ice maker must have a kidney stone. Ha! I first unplugged the ice maker for a full 24 hours. I added the descaler to the tank with water and let it run 24 hours, dumping all the ice every time the bin was full. I tried the ice after 18 hours and it still had a faint chemical taste so it may depend on your machine how long it takes to cycle through the descaling solution. And I started using distilled water to try and avoid using the hard tap water. If the plastic tubing looks gross, remove the ones you can and block one end with a binder clip, fill it with descaling solution or water with vinegar, and clip the other end with another binder clip. Let it soak for 30 minutes and rinse.

Well worth the money, I researched many products and companies for a cost efficient product that does what it says. This product bypasses my expectations. Our ice machines go through water with some of the hardest calcium buildup. All the parts that contact water gets whiter than snow in less than a month ,, I ran 2 wash cycles with the cleaner and little if any scrubbing was needed . There is hardly an oder , and for normal calcium buildup one cleaning would be needed. Use is very easy , I mixed solution 2 oz. with water and added to machine per the machine instructions for cleaning.. Safe for all surfaces..

We used this to clean our ice maker and it did a great job of cleaning all the build up off. Will use again.

I have cleaned & descaled my ice machine monthly because of having very hard water. It seemed that what I was using helped very little. I decided to use something else and bought this. From the very beginning I knew it was actually working, and was attacking the calcium and lime build-up that was causing problem with the machine.

This purchase was one of need for use of our ice maker. Wish I didn’t have to spend money on it, but it’s nice to have an abundance of ice for summer’s heat.

Product works but not real well. Had to clean twice to het the results looking for. I was going to buy the nu-calgon nickel safe cleaner which works great. I have used in the past but I was in a rush so I bought this instead a little cheaper. So for the price product works ok and it arrived sooner. If I was in a pinch again I would buy it again, just be prepared to clean more than once.

This product is what we use to clean our ice machine at our restaurant. It works great!!
