Love this table!
I absolutely love this table! It is solid wood and works perfectly in my space for one (aka me) as a console table, as a square puzzle table, and as a dining table when I have friends/family over. Delivery and assembly was super easy. As previous reviews have stated fully expanding the table and adding the leaves is difficult for one person but doable for me with the help of the wall. I mainly use the table as either console or square and love how easy it is to switch between those two options. Lastly it is just gorgeous and fits right in with my wood mission style bookcases. You would never know this classic, sturdy table with such an innovative “transformer” design was less than $500 on Amazon. I am now eying up the different styles of fruitwood folding chairs from Stakmore to match the table when I have to seat additional dinner guests. Don’t hesitate, just buy this table!

Perfect for small apartments!
UPDATE: 3 YEARS LATER AND STILL HOLDING UP WELL! Totally forgot about the fifth leg and haven’t used it since I think making my initial review haha its noticeable now only starting this 3rd year that the middle of the table once fully expanded kind of dips down but was an easy fix after putting the 5th leg down and the dip is gone. Only thing is when you move the table with the 5th leg down, its easy for it to get knocked out of place and doesn’t move easily with the rest of the table. Other than that this table has stood up to 3 big moves and maybe a hundred retract and expands. Its still going strong! Tip is to get those furniture felt pads for the legs so it can move easily when you want to change the size of the table! This is by far my best investment, I’m sure of that! It can be small enough to be a small desk, but can also get big enough to sit at most 10 (might be a little tight but it will definitely do)! It’s pretty sturdy, though it comes with a weirdly placed wood that can come down as an extra foot in the middle of the table to keep the table up with all the leaves put in (doesn’t have to be all though). It’s kind of hard to pull to expand it and to retract it because its all wood. But as long as you have one other person to help you expand it or have a wall to help you retract it, you should be fine! There’s a bit of a resistance, but other than that its perfect! You have to put the leaves (extra panels to expand) away because they can’t be stored in the table, and the drawers are fake. But it’s definitely worth it! We’ve already expanded and retracted it dozens of times over the last couple of months and it still holds up like new!Try it out because its amazing with the price and the quality!

FOUR Sizes, Beautiful Finish, and Easy Assembly
UPDATE: 3 YEARS LATER: Still love the table, though the corners are a little worn (see pic), and I can see it is particle board underneath. So I'm a little disappointed that the sellers say it's "solid wood." But I would still buy this table again! The table has been beautiful, flexible in sizes, and very sturdy. Meets all our needs.ORIGINAL REVIEW: The product pics don't do justice to this beautiful table. In real life, it looks like solid stained wood to me (though I'm not sure what it really is), and I am picky about wood products. We expected three sizes, but there are actually four:1) the small desk size (see my pic),2) the fairly square size,3) a larger size adding one leaf inserted, which is our favorite size and not indicated on the product page (see pic)4) and the largest size with both leaves inserted. At the largest size, the table easily seats 6 or more, but it’s a little large for our house. We shopped exhaustively for a nice convertible dining room able in our price range and were not having much luck at IKEA, Target, Walmart, or used furniture stores, until we saw this one on Amazon—in a league of its own. The color is a rich, warm walnut; then, if you shine a warm light on it, the color can even seem to have some red hues (I took one pic with the light on and one with it off, to demonstrate). It’s a versatile color that can easily coordinate with cherry, walnut and darker colors, and I opted to pair it with white contemporary chairs with light wood, just to brighten the feel of my house. My husband and I were both surprised by the thickness and beauty of the table when we opened the box. We were also surprised by how quickly this went together. You just bolt the legs on; everything else is already assembled. We could not be more thrilled with this beautiful table, especially for the price. I would give it 6 stars if I could.

You know what you're buying, which is to say garbage, but that might be okay
Let's get real. This is not a good table, nor is it well-made or long-lasting. It is cheap, it looks maybe a little less cheap than it was, and it lasts as long as a cheap table will. The top has no support for anything heavier than a felt coaster, the "drawers" are fake and the metal handles will rattle like Scrouge and his chains any time you so much as breathe on this thing, and trying to shift between the sizes is like attempting to solve a puzzle to escape from one gulag to a second, larger gulag. The final straw for me, and the impetus of writing this review, was that while trying to make room to put in a leaf, my Hulk-like strength (I am a 5'5" white woman) was enough to rip every single hinge out of the table. I pulled eight screws out of this thing like it was margarine, because this table is as soft and cheap as margarine.Don't get me wrong - you could do worse. Absolutely. This table will last probably 2, maybe 3 years, of regular wear and tear before something serious gives way. It will absolutely happen. There is no avoiding it. But if you need a table in a pinch that doesn't look totally wretched, this might do. Know that it is going to fail you sooner than later. I'm not going to tell you to not buy it, in the same way that I wouldn't tell someone to not buy a 1998 Camry for 500$ - that's your business and your judgement. But be aware of what this is, what you're getting, and what to expect. Much like the Soviet Union or a subpar flan, it will give you the bare minimum promised and then eventual collapse. Good luck.
