I bought this slinky for my three year old niece. She absolutely loved the fun colors and it did go down shorter steps which was fun to watch her get excited about. The only negative I had was the damaged box it was delivered in. There was no way I could have gifted the slinky in the box so I had to remove it from the box.

3 1/2 yr old grandson was fascinated by it, but is still too young to use it properly. Had a kink in it the first day of use.

I purchased these for a minute to win it party I was having and could not find regular sized slinky-s anywhere. The color options are actually really cool and my kids love them. The plastic is good enough quality that when you get it all tangled up they aren't bent and forever ruined which is a must. They have been tested and kid approved on the stairs like any slinky should. I am only leaving that one star off for price because it just seemed a little more then I was hoping and price is a huge factor for me in anything I buy. The minute to win game was so hilarious that I really didn't mind it after the fact...worth every penny.

It's a slinky so what's there to really say? I was surprised when my 5 year old said he wanted one and we decided on the plastic over the metal, figuring it may stand up to more abuse, especially if the younger one got a hold of it. They use it mostly in their imaginative play, but the shock on their faces when I sent it down the steps the first time was classic.

I purchased this Slinky for my son for Christmas, and it was neon orange. You cannot select the color when you order. He played too roughly with it, and it wouldn't return to its normal compact size as it had been stretched out. He used his own money to purchase a new one. This one was neon pink, and he wasn't pleased with the color. It was also more flimsy than the orange one. It turns out that the plastic springs were of a different thickness. The pink slinky was thinner than the orange slinky. I intertwined them to try to show the difference in the springs for the photo in this review. There are more "layers" (I don't know what else to call them) in the pink slinky because each layer is thinner than the orange slinky. The orange slinky felt more stable than the pink one. Personally, it doesn't bother me, but it really bothered my son to have them look and feel so very different. I'm giving this three stars because of the lack of quality control between the two colors when they should be identical in the thickness of the spring - they behave differently even when using them to "walk" down the stairs.

I ordered 2 for my twin boys, they both came in pink. Which they love pink so no problem for us. Would be nice if you could choose what color you wanted though, especially for gifting.

My son and I have so much fun playing with this slinky. Great neon colors are fun and large loops make it easy to get down the steps.

I bought this for my 2 year old son as a Christmas present and he loves it. It is very durable and it goes down the stairs perfectly (that’s the entire reason I bought it). Definitely a great product and would buy again!
