I love this finish
Once I found out Amazon was carrying this product at this price I had to get it. I love this finish. It's very durable, dries quickly, dries to a tough finish and applies easily. It only needs 3 coats for great protection. Don't use it outside though, it's not intended for exterior use. The gloss version, which I used on the attached photos has a nice pleasant gloss that's not overwhelming and doesn't look plasticy.Don't forget this is an oil-based product therefore use paint thinner if needed if it becomes too thick. When it's time to clean up, you need to clean your brushes and rollers with paint thinner or mineral spirits. As a ex professional painter I would suggest using the better brushes if you want to really get rid of those brush marks. I use the Pro Perfect bushes sold here on Amazon.

Not what the label says
This product was advertised as having a satin finish. I used this same product from a qt. can on half of a set of bi-fold doors. They are beautiful. There wasn't enough to finish the second half of the doors so I purchased a gallon from Amazon. I was horrified when it was dry to see such a shiny finish. It's glossy, not satin. Don't buy this product. I don't know if this is a re-labeled can from the seller or a mistake from the manufacturer but it certainly is not what the label says.

One of the best finishes I've used
Fantastic finish for old resinous heart pine. Most don't evenly cover the different densities and crystalize over the resin. This was a nice smooth eggshell finish in 2 coats. Will buy again!

Just Too Hard To Work With
It is a strong finish. I've been finishing wood for years with MinWax with no problems. Since it is no longer carried by HD I had to switch to Varathane. Super thick but won't self level. Dries so fast that once applied and then instantly smoothed over, it leaves a mess of a finish. You simply can't apply evenly. I've ruined two tables since trying this stuff. Re-sand and re-try.........don't bother.
