Porcelain is a substance like no other lighter than ceramic and certainly stone. Centuries of use should tell us that. Nice porcelain but still not what we could buy 60 years ago.

Nice! I love them. But I thought they would be unbreakable. One even came chipped.

I have other products anr they're amazing. This set had black specks that wouldn't come off of half of the plates. I love the mugs and mini plates

After as many items as I purchased on Amazon I should know that products like these are factory irregulars. I bought two packages of six 10.5 in dinner plates. Several plates are slightly different sizes, 3 others had visible faults on the glaze on the inside, 2 were so warped they wouldn't sit flat on the table and I threw them away, 4 of them feel like they're dusty or slightly gritty on the inside even though they're quite clean and they reflect light beautifully. Oddly those 4 are as smooth as glass on the sides. The remaining 3 I'm going to say are perfect. Overall I've decided to live with 10 of them as they seem to work well for me but again they're clearly irregulars. If you buy them don't expect perfect.NOTE: they are bright white and they came really well packed. Mine were delivered by the US Post office and not by FedEx or UPS and even the packing box with other things in it arrived without a scratch. Thank you US postal workers!
