Okay this is a cheap tester. It is not constructed from quality product. To find a similar product that decently tests length you are paying $300, easily $500 minimum. This is my experience with it. It doesn't have any kind of voltage protection and the whole thing will burn out if you plug it into a POE cable. Pro is that you know right away, I have had more expensive testers only burn out on the 4-5-7-8 pairs but it still burned out so it is useless. So why spend extra money on it. Take care of it and do not drop it, it doesn't like to bounce and I doubt it is waterproof. The length test is not going to be super accurate but will do what you need.This has saved me hours worth of work testing connectors with its length tester. Cable test bad stick length tester on it and find out what end is bad. When you get 80-80-80-3 you probably know its the 3 meter end or 0 if you connect directly to it. That in itself has paid for the tester.Ignore the ranting reviews of people expecting a $1000 product out of cheap or who plugged a POE device into it.

Not as easy to use as the fluke. Requires flipping modes , but does the job well and at a fraction of the price. Indispensable for a home lab if you are making cables.

The media could not be loaded. I had to replace my basic tester. I came across this tester and it was reasonably priced for what it came with.: 8 remotes, main unit, and case. My old tester would just cycle through lights to show wire connections. This unit was a huge upgrade with its speed in checking all wires at once plus giving me length information on an easy to read screen. With multiple remotes, I could test several connections without having to go back to my network to switch which wires I was testing.

I've purchased a bunch of cheap testers. they always fail. . i seldom write reviews; however, this testers is a bit more expensive, but works exactly as advertised. i particularly like the ability to measure wire distance & mis-wiring info. thanks..

First off, batteries are AA not AAA. Not a big deal but that should be mentioned.My issue with this is the inaccurate cable lengths. I measured a cable that was 100’ but it said it was 25. I did the recalibration and the next test I did said 25’. That is way to large an error to work with. The cable pairs tested fine so it might work for a pass / fail test but I would rather have a much smaller pocket size tester that can give me that info. I ended up just getting a Kline that gave me correct lengths and fault info
