Nettle Root Powder Organic - Urtica Dioica, 1 lb,(Starwest Botanicals)USDA Organic

Happy with this nettle root powder, it has a very mild, pleasant taste. I was hoping to get cut/sifted nettle root, but since I couldn't, the powder works for now. I use it in an herbal mix I take for my hair, and I've also noticed a couple other benefits, seems to be very adaptogenic for me, helping eliminate dark circles under my eyes, increasing stamina and helping my digestion as well as my hair, so I'm very happy with it and will purchase again, although next time I'd like to try the cut and sifted version if I can find that. If not, the powder will suffice. I've ordered herbs from this brand several times and have never been disappointed. The quality is good, the shipping is fast, and I've never had any issues with old or ineffective product, or any sort of impurities in the herbs. Would definitely recommend.

I tried this when the package arrived late in the afternoon. It kept me up all night. So I started putting 1/2 tsp in my first morning coffee, then went to 1 tsp. It really messed up my coffee - it was like emptying a teabag into it. So I started mixing it with a little chia and coconut oil, which was OK. It would probably be good in oatmeal too.This Nettle root powder gives me a mild boost in the morning. It is touted to help with prostate issues, and I can say I'm down from 5 or 6 bathroom trips a night to 2 or 3, and that alone will keep me reordering..I've had some luck with other supplements bringing my hair color back from polar bear white to a silver gray, with a little thickening, but about 6 weeks after starting the nettle root, I noticed another wave of significant new growth. So much that for a couple of weeks it was standing up, apparently from the shorter new hairs underneath. Now when I part my hair, there's a whole lot less scalp showing through. The other things that I think are helping with my hair are PABA, Biotin, a B multivitamin, and copper.

First off, I take many supplements and like what I saw as far as what it can assist with. For me, I liked that it may help with prostate and less trips to the bathroom. I will say after about a week it was helping with that. As I get older I'm looking into any extra supplements to help with rounding out everything and I like this so far. Research it and see if it’s a good fit for you.

I've been taking the nettle root a 4-5 times per week for a few years because when I take it, I do not have to get up in the middle of the night. I don't measure, I just sprinkle it in my workout drink. I do not have the patience nor appetite for a tea. I am more concerned about long-term studies (somewhere I read nettle root might not be recommended permanently, but now I cannot find that link), than the California warning. Regarding the latter, I noticed when I purchased me treadmill, that even it came with the warning. I think my running shoes might have also. I do not want lead poisoning. But to be clear, I do not think this is an admission of poisoning-- only a legal requirement to state that they cannot rule out lead in some products. (I suppose they cannot assay every single bag). I will keep my eyes and ears open for more information on the lead. But what I will say, is I need my sleep. This helps me get it.

I was excited about this product and oredered one pound thru Amazon. When I received the item, noticed a warning that product may expose you to “LEAD” poisoning.Who in their mind will sell a food product that knowingly contains Lead? Extremely harmful to everyone.Two main points:1) Amazon did share the warning anywhere prior to purchasing the item. Nor on the pics.2) when I tried return/refund the item, Amazon posted this item is NOT REFUNDABLE.This extremely dangerous as some could really end up major health complications that they were not expecting.I also tried Starwest website for feedback and help, I was able to write comments but the submission process fails, hence unable to send feedbacks.In short stay away from this product if you care about your health.
