great no calorie way to get the root beer fix
The flavor is quite good and it is pretty guilt free. Just add water. Also noticed I can fill a 32 oz cup of water with one packet and still get full flavor. Good with popcorn on movie night

Not bad for a powdered rootbeer mix
If compared to can/bottle of rootbeer, the mix wouldn't rate as high but is pretty good compared to other powdered rootbeer mixes. Doesn't mix as well as I'd like (like the other mixes of the same flavor, there's a "mud" of unmixed material at the bottle of the glass/cup whether I put in the cup before or after the bubbly water goes in.) Even is decent in an ice cold non-bubbly cup of water. Except for the artificial sweetener (which admittedly keeps the weight down in the pack), I'd even think about throwing it into the backpack for an on-trail treat.

Nope, not it.
I decided to try Dad's as I remember liking the soda when I was a kid. This version is horrible. It has a strong chemical taste that I couldn't place. I took one sip and tossed it out. I threw the unopened boxes away too as there was no way I was going to try it again. The A&W version is much closer to the root beer I remember but with a faint artificial sweetener after taste.

It's good but had better....
I went out searching for another flavor because A&W seem to mess up their flavored root beer in my own opinion. They had the taste that I liked already before then they had to mess the flavor up with this new better taste. I honestly don't care of it. So here I am trying this out and honestly I can't say that I am happy with this one either. It's root beer and drinkable flavor but not just what I am looking for. Maybe for others I don't know. I wish I would have found one box instead of having to purchase the three. But that is fine. The price is ok but I have seen better prices on these drink mixes in dollar stores.

Great tasting water flavoring
I’ve been looking for different water flavorings because of the diet plan I’m on. It makes the water drinking very easy. I’m not knocking A&W but I like these better than the A&W brand.
