Charlotte and the Quiet Place Hardcover – September 1, 2015

This book has beautiful illustrations and the story is helpful tool for kids who need to find ways to settle themselves down. Bought for 9 year old. She liked it.

Charlotte and the Quiet Place is a beautiful book that can help any child (or adult) remember that she has the power to be calm even when life gets crazy. I am giving a copy to my children's elementary school. I think it is the perfect book to have as a resource for teaching mindfulness...all set within a lovely story. It's often hard to explain the ideas of mindfulness and breathing to children because these ideas can seem so abstract. This story gives those skills a tangible base.

This is a charming book and so relevant for today's children. I especially loved the artwork, beautiful. I intend to give this to my 7 year old grandson whom I feel can benefit from the lesson in this book. Actually, we all can! Everyone needs to know how to go to a quiet place when the world around us seems too noisy and too busy.

This was a wonderful book. My 11year old thought it was a little too young for her but thought younger children would enjoy the story and gorgeous pictures. After discussing the book with her she said Charlotte was like a lot of kids where life gets so noisy they just cannot concentrate.As an adult I enjoyed the flow and message Charlotte provides about how to find the quiet. I won't spoil the story but recommend you read the book with your children. Then read it again to find the quiet place

My 2 year old book loving son literally went from slightly-hyper to head-laying-on-my-lap-relaxed in one read and asked to hear it again! Amazing. My 2 month old fell asleep listening to it be read. (Don’t forget to read aloud the breathing in and out “oohhh ahhhh”.) We love this book!

Sweet story.

Well, my sister is the author so what can I say? But our 5-year old daughter loves reading it with me and talking about it, and enjoys the beautiful, detailed illustrations. Debbie has given children a great gift with this book: how to contact a quiet place within for a little while and find refuge from the noise and frenetic pace of the outside world. I hope there's a sequel!

This is a charming book! We loved the illustrations as well as the clever way the idea of finding a quiet place inside was presented. Great for kids - it was a favorite gift for a beloved little girl in our extended family who is growing up in an urban environment. Suitable for a child growing up in any environment, however!
