It works, but it’s totally overpriced for what it is. For this price the base could at least be made of some type of hardwood.

Does what it says. Works as it should.
It's a balance device. As long as It's in one peice it will work. Could do the same with a couple of rulers. But this is much cooler.

Very useful tool BUT:
I just received this tool. When demonstrating it to my grandson, using one of his old derby cars, we found a major flaw in the design.The with of the balance point is narrower than the body of a Pinewood Derby car.This is fine if you have a solid under body on the car. However if a portion of the underside of the block has been removed to reduce weight the balance point will not hold the car level.
