Easy to use and accurate.
This is a brilliant tracker. I have a little sausage dog that seems to vanish at times on a walk, this enables me to find her, it has a light and a buzzer built in, with excellent tracking and zooming features. I have ordered a harness with straps for her that this can fit to rather than having it on her collar, it's a chunk to hang there otherwise for her.You need to familiarise yourself with the features. so to make the most of it. and if your dog goes missing you can search quickly and know what to do.The only issue I have had is setting the safety zone, I will play around with it more as could be me being daft.. So pleased I've bought another one for our other dog, they both work via the download app, you can see and choose the dog to view.. Easy to set up via a QR code.. Very pleased with this! 👌👍😁

Excellent essential device for our boy
Our Bedlington Whippet whilst in Kennels had a serious first fit so finding a reliable tracker for him became essential for our walks. His recall is very good, I spent months working with him. He is a Sight Hound/Lurcher and they are are not the most reliable dogs when off the lead as they have such a strong prey drive. However he can't come back if he is having a fit, also how would I find him? We live in a very remote part of the country and I walk him in the open fields surrounding our home. He lives to run at speed, he can be the other side of a field in seconds and the thought of trying to find an unconscious dog in a huge field was a massive worry. The Pawfit 3 after a lot of research seemed to be the best buy. The cost of the tracker doesn't include the years subscripton but for roughly £100 (including years Subscription) you get an excellent piece of kit and peace of mind. The tracker is very well made and comes with an attachment mounting you can fit to your dogs collar or harness. I have fitted the tracker to his 'Ruffwear' harness (see picture). Spare mountings are available from the Pawfit website and if you have a couple of harnesses it's worth buying some spares as you really don't want to keep removing mountings. The mountings so far I have found are very secure, it is extremely difficult to prize them off the harness once attached another reason to buy spares. I have also fitted the Tracker to his collar if he is wearing his coat and it needs an unrestricted GPS signal, Pawfit recommend the tracker is fitted facing towards the sky. Despite the fact the tracker when fitted to his collar tends to end up facing the ground it still manages to get a strong signal. The tracker has a number of features which have proved unexpectedly useful. There is an audible alarm so should the tracker come off the mounting you can search for it not only using the GPS signal but by sound. I have not had cause to use this feature yet but pressing it also acts the same as his 'recall' whistle. I pressed it by accident and suddenly found my dog returning to me!.It is also possible to use the tracker to talk to your dog, something I have found very useful to remind him I'm waiting for him, works well for our Hound. There is also a light so you can see your dog at night, not something I have used but it's fairly bright even in daylight. The tracker has some great features it works very much like a Fitbit recording his steps, calories used and activity levels. You can set the app up to use either Goggle Maps, Satellite or OS Maps (only in UK). Your dog also gets sent messages to the tracker should he/she achieve their exercise levels. You can also set the Tracker to track quicker than the default settings of 1-2 minutes. I have experimented with both the 40 and 20 Seconds tracking but have found pressing the 'Find' toggle equally just as good. Should he disappear I just press 'Find' and the tracker's GPS quickly finds/tracks him. I didn't see much difference using the faster settings.I only use his tracker on his walks and have found battery life to be very good. We generally do 2 walks a day, a long 1.5 - 2 hour walk in the morning followed by a 45 minute afternoon stroll. The battery charge lasts about a week. If the charge goes below 30% the Tracker sends you a warning but I have used it until it was at 20% without any issues. You also need to remember your phone has a good charge before starting a walk. The only caveat I would say is that before buying check the 4G signal on your dog walks, the tracker uses a SIM card very much like your phone. We are lucky to have a strong 4G signal in our village. But before buying I spent a week walking our routes checking the signal.

Very useful but with limitations
These are great trackers, this is my second one, but... there are limitations. The accuracy can vary a lot depending on your location. Out on the fen it can place my dog within a few feet and at work I can see which parking space truck and dog are in. In the village it is not so good and often shows my dog in the house over the road. The geo fence is not really much good there but works better with a large plot on the fen. The only problem then is the rate at which the location is read and my dog can be a mile or so away before she is pinged and I get a alert. The find feature works well with a ping every ten seconds and you can see the direction and speed of travel so you know when to stop yelling. The temperature alert is good but if you set it to 40 degrees where it probably should be you get an alert every time you put it on charge and the battery warms up. At least you get to test it works! Overall worth having and definitely cheaper than getting your dog out of the pound every now and then...

Worth every penny
We have had this tracker for a while now. It has brought such peace of mind and there have been many times it’s been easier to know where our Cocker Spaniel is because of the app. However today was the first time he got properly lost and was running in circles trying to get back to us. He had run far from us and even managed to cross a major road doing so. I think he got the scent of a female dog because he has never reacted like this with deer. If it wasn’t for Pawfit I don’t think we would have found him as quickly as we did. It took half an hour but I was able to hone in on his location through bush and I kept shouting his name. When I switched on the Find feature you could actually see his movements in more detail. Amazing product and would not hesitate recommending this. It’s waterproof and has survived many a dip in streams and pools of water. Thank you Pawfit! Someone is now warm and sleeping next to the fire. And I am off to have a strong cup of tea after that adventure! Just had to leave this review as I am so grateful.
