Worked with AKG k553
Worked well to replace my AKG k553 headphone pads. Easy installation, no complaints. The original ones have L and R printed on them and these do not, FYI.

Great pads, but not as thick as originals, nor do they come in white.
To those who purchase this pad, a word of warning: While these pads aren't as thick as the originals on my AKG 553 Pro's, they are still, without a doubt, unbelievably comfortable. The pads are also easy to install without the yellow tool that comes included in the box. I wished that these would come in white and were just a bit thicker so that my ears do not rest directly on the cloth covering the driver. For that I would go 4.5 instead of 5 but these are wonderful replacements regardless. Thanks to Geekria for making such a worthy replacement.

Not an exact replacement; a bit too small.
As many of you who may own AKG K550s, you probably have noticed that finding replacement earpads for them has been an exercise in frustration.AKG themselves did not offer them (and still don't as far as I know). These are my fourth attempt to replace the flaking, crumbling and deformed original earpads that are now reaching their fourth year of use. Nothing from third party vendors has come even close to the original pads in appearance or quality and in some cases they did not even fit the headphones at all. These earpads from Geekria seem well made and of decent quality, my problem with them is that they are smaller in diameter and thickness by a wide margin compared to the originals. Original AGK: 11.5cm diameter/2.5cm thick. Geekria: 10.5cm diameter/2cm thick. It took a little stretching and fiddling, but I eventually got them on. The headphones look and more importantly, now feel and sound different. The differences are nothing to really cry about, and since I haven't found anything better, I guess I'm keeping them. What are my options?Who really deserve a bad review is AKG, for not providing replacement parts for what used to be a $300.00 pair of headphones.
