Excellent mouthpiece but not for me
I tried the JodyJazz HR soprano mouthpiece a while back and it was unbelievably responsive and very bright. I wanted something like that for alto, but this mouthpiece doesn't play that way. It plays well, but for me it's nothing special compared to others. It's a high quality piece though, so I would still recommend trying it - results will vary!

Poor care taken during delivery, but amazing mouthpiece!
I got my mouthpiece with the box crushed. Not sure when in transit it happened or if it was delivered with a crushed box. Other than that, the mouthpiece is amazing! Perfect for those looking for their first Jazz Mouthpiece. I went from a Selmer S80 C* to this and it was a smooth transition! Love the brightness!

Produces a great sound on my alto sax; good tone and great volume. I also have a Jody Jazz mouthpiece for my baritone sax. If you're ready to upgrade from a stock student mouthpiece, this is a good pick.

Great mouthpiece, lackluster packaging
I just got my HR* delivered and I was disappointed with the packaging. I did not receive a box, the mouthpiece came in a plastic bag shipped in a paper envelope. The packaging was clearly roughed up and I feel like I got lucky that it wasn’t damaged.The mouthpiece itself is great, happy with the sound.
