Luxurious!
This kimono looks and feels luxurious. I purchased the Maren Kimono because I loved the traditional Japanese style pattern in soft watercolors on a black background. Although the fabric is polyester charmeuse, it feels and looks like silk with the advantage that I can machine wash it in cold. The company also produces some gorgeous silk robes, but silk has to be dry cleaned and for me that was not practical.I have to say that this fabric feels like silk. It is not too shiny. The kimono is fully lined with a material that also feels like expensive silk. The cuffs and front are trimmed in velvet that give it a little extra coziness. I am 5'1" and decided to shorten it by two inches to make sure it didn't drag on the floor. The sewing was easy; it is a simple turned hem. The belt loops are a little low, but I could have adjusted them when doing the hem. I usually wear the kimono as a duster, so I don't often tie it, therefore the belt loops are not an issue. Width-wise, I am a size 4. It does not feel too big...loose, but I am not swimming in it. I see that KIM+ONO produces plus size versions of the kimonos, so a person larger than, say, a size 10 might want to opt for the roomier version.I often wear the kimono around the house during the day over my sweatpants, yoga pants, or jeans for an added layer of warmth that makes me feel stylish. The only negative--and I am picky--is that some of the seams are a little puckered. Granted that this is a difficult material for a seamstress to work with, especially where connecting the velvet to the charmeuse fabric. However, the perfect sewing machine adjustment should alleviate this problem. The label reads "Designed in San Francisco. Made in China." The kimono was well packed and had no problematic odors.I would buy this again. I might even think about buying one of the 100% silk kimonos for special evenings.

It’s a whole vibe!
I had this in my cart for over 6 months and when it arrived my only regret was that I waited so long. The way the fabric feels draped over my skin makes me feel like Victorian era nobility sipping tea on my balcony as I overlook my garden. If you’re looking to treat yourself and found this, just buy it!

The best of all KIMONOS
I took it to an Asian seamstress to shorten it and shorten the sleeves because I'm 5'4" and she was blown away at the quality of the kimono! She said this and the lining is all pure silk and it is in the tradition of an Asian wearing it. I took this as the highest honor and I'm so proud to wear this with my jeans when I'm out with friends and family. This kimono fashion style has many women wearing their bathrobes instead of a kimono. I just shake my head.

Gorgeous
Drapes really well. More green than teal after hand wash in cold (bleeds quite a bit), but a really beautiful piece of clothing. The detail is soft and luminous. Would make a lovely gift!Seems to be sewn well. Love that it’s lined! Just got it but would recommend.

Ver long
The robe is very long. It does not come to mid calf as shown in photo but to the ankles. I’m 5’7 so it’s not about height. I’m keeping it but may shorten.

Gorgeous but not for average sized women
This is one of my favorite purchases. Luxurious.... lovely! I am 5’11 and wear a size 10 and it fits very well but the arms are long. It will easily fall mid hand on anyone 5’9 and below. The front closer fits me well but could not be any tighter and still look good closed. It you are larger than a size 14 forget it unless you prefer to wear it open. This is made for a tall thin woman, and we need stuff too! I just don't think it will fit the average woman in a size 14-16 who stands 5’7 ... no way!
