Great heavy duty jars. Superior and secure handle.
I love these jars. I use them for tea. I brew my tea as a syrup and I can pour the hot syrup into the jar and they don't break. The only thing I have against them is the thing that is actually going for them, they're heavy! If you're looking for a gallon size heavy glass jug, these are it. The handle is super secure... Will not fall off! I don't worry about picking a full gallon jar up by the handle at all. I like the fact that it has a spout underneath the lid that can come apart and be washed. They're perfect! Except they are heavy. The lid is heavy duty too and tightens down well to seal. I've had these for over a year now and they still look brand new even with daily use. Wish the lid came in different colors than just red though. Oh, they are tall...so make sure they'll fit in your fridge.

Glass gallon jugs
We refill are water at a big box store in 5 gallon containers and transfer it into the gallon size when we get home. The size, design, durability is great . The seal is ok , they are a heavy glass and functionality is outstanding.

Very well made. Nice!!
I just got these to help me pour water into a water filtration system and they are perfect for that! These are really nice. Heavy, the lid unscrews easily and the plastic pour top well made. They even added a third pour spout plastic piece, so thank you for that! Not sure what I will use the second jar for but I will find something and I will probably be back for more of these!

Boiling water
Great sun tea and pickle jars. But never pour boiling water into one. It can fail. We are lucky no one was injured when ours exploded but we knew better.

Awesome bottles - but they are super HEAVY and SLIPPERY when wet!
I'm a disabled senior citizen with a compromised immune system. I have a sensitivity to BPA, and most plactic bottles have varying levels of BPA. I need five bottles for my fridge (two for tea, two for tap water, and one for filtered water. Let me begin by saying I really like these bottles. They are sturdy, have a nice, tight inner seal with a pour spout, and an orange outer seal like you see on thermos containers. I have removed the outer seal when storing in the fridge, but they would be great if you needed to transport the bottles. The handle is nice and tight; however I would not trust carrying the bottles by the handle. God forbid if it came loose while carrying it to the fridge from the sink and came crashing down on your feet! Likewise, the bottles are very slippery when wet, and if you're not careful, the same thing could happen and you could crush some toes and if it broke, it could get bloody. I compensated for these challenges by transporting the bottles via my rollator walker. I also use a kitchen towel and wrap it around the bottle while picking up, carrying, and putting inside the fridge. It makes me laugh to tell you I carry the bottle like a toddler wrapped in a towel, but that's about how it is (a heavy toddler at that). Lastly, since my fridge shelves are glass, trying to slide glass bottles across a glass shelf is very difficult (nd like fingernails on a chalk board). Glass on glass? So, I'm shopping around for shelf liners for the fridge now. HEADS UP to the seller. How about making up some wraps for these bottles to combat the slippery? It sure would help with safety issues for people like me. These heavy bottles may be difficult for me because I am older and weaker than some. However, I now believe these bottles are part of my physical fitness program. I'm getting stronger evey day lifting them. Who needs free weights?

to large for fridge
These are very nice. The red handles and lid,... a little bulky, but they are fairly solid. The jars are VERY HEAVY, need the handles, inside lid ok too, for price wish lil better design but they are very nice and were just very exspensive for what they are. Should of been about half that price but quality is good.to large for fridge.

Bought these for iced tea—they're great and exceeded expectations but wow, they're heavy when full
I drink a LOT of brewed iced tea. Literally all day long. But I'd been using old repurposed plastic juice bottles, and inevitably they acquire brown tea stains and no amount of shaking with crushed ice and bleach water will take them off. I had several requirements that had me shopping here for days (off and on) to try to find the right jar, jug, or pitcher:- Glass, because it's easy to clean- Wide mouth both for easy cleaning and for sun tea (can't pull wet tea bags easily through a narrow bottle-mouth)- Sturdy, ideally enough to use near boiling water if I wanted to (so many alternatives failed my selection process because their handles looked super flimsy or had reviews where people reported breakage during normal use)- 1/2 gallon would've been okay, but prefer a full gallon- Manageable to pour from even when full- I needed two anyway because I like to have one jug of caffeinated black iced tea and one jug of rooibos (which has no caffeine, for evening iced tea drinking)These jars satisfy all my requirements, including there being two of them as a pair. I docked one star from "easy to clean" only because I can't imaging how one would be able to easily clean under the handle attachment rings and they don't look easy to remove. (Unlike, say, a lever-lid Bell jar where you can always remove the wire lid parts.) Also, the plastic inner pour spout may well need the water-bleach treatment every now and then; I'll have to see how long it takes for them to begin acquiring tea stains.Would it have been nice to have one of those lever or push-button spouts at the bottom so you can draw from the jar without removing it from the fridge? Perhaps, but everybody reports such things as the main point of failure, with either the spigot leaking or the glass cracking at the spigot hole. Plus there's nowhere in my fridge where these jars will fit except on the bottom shelf. They're huge. These jars are actually not that difficult to manage with the handle, although clearly it takes two hands to pour from them. The large red cap and the plastic inner pouring spout are nice and I've not had any accidents, even with a jar completely full of tea.Anyway, very happy so far with these jars.

Love these jars!
The jars are solidly made and hold a little more than a gallon. The lids fit nicely. Great product. I've just ordered 2 more.
