Not the image quality I expected
If the pair of these I received is typical, I am surprised they can sell them at $8,000. I have two pairs of Swarovski ELs, and I would say that each of the Swaros are noticeably better in terms of clarity, contrast, edge sharpness, and brightness. The build quality is also better. The image stabilization on the Zeiss works well and is brilliant. It’s just stabilizing a $500 image, similar to what you’d get from the Nikon Monarch line. The Zeiss is surprisingly light and feels like mostly rubber. The eye cups and adjustment system work reasonably well, and 20x magnification is as good as it sounds. Without a doubt, I can make out more detail with these than with my 10x50mm Swaros, but the image is flat and hazy, much like a fast camera lens (say f/1.4). I wouldn’t pay more than a $1,000 for these, but obviously others are more impressed with them than I am.

Very nice, but are they worth the price?
I didn’t purchase mine through Amazon - I found a pair on line which a customer had purchased and then returned - so I saved a chunk of change. I’m not a binoculars expert, but these are a joy to use. A bit heavy, so I typically support them in some fashion for extended use. The image stabilization works nicely - it is surprising what a huge difference it makes when that tiny bit of shaking is removed. Sometimes I notice a bit of purple “fringing” (that’s what the Zeiss service rep called it) but it seems to be somewhat dependent on atmospheric conditions, like possibly the humidity, but I’m not sure. I suppose I will always feel a bit guilty about purchasing these puppies. Whatever. It’s fun to check out what’s going on out in the bay, but I’m disappointed that I haven’t spotted any mermaids yet.

stalker proof
I have been having problems with the restraining order my ex girlfriend had on me so i decided to pick up 3 extra jobs to be able to afford this Gem. Needless to say that i am extremely impressed with the clarity and function this product offers. I was able to stalk my Ex from 500yards away with no issue. she had no idea that i was even there and the clarity of the optic was able to catch the smoothness of her milky pale skin. Unfortunately, opossums took over the tree that i use to watch her so i will have to find a good strategic location for my camp. Wish me luck guys! and i hope my boyfriend doesn't find out about this...

Overpriced
Too expensive for the bang and most of the reviews are clearly written by the manufacturer or their good friend or employee.

Risky purchase
Tried these while on holiday in Germany. Used my Iphone map to locate medieval castle from a high promentory, but was directed to look instead at what turned out to be a Baltic nudist retiree beach resort. In fantastically detailed, stable and sharp horror, I was confronted with wrinkled, hairy images that dazzled even as they nauseated.Great optics and build quality that reveal the Matrix-like horror beneath our reality. You have been warned...

Minolta and Leica optics I can say that the 20x60S binoculars are amazing for the price and even better if you can ...
As a completely independent user of both Zeiss, Pentax, Minolta and Leica optics I can say that the 20x60S binoculars are amazing for the price and even better if you can get a deal. They do what it says on the box without any fuss, the clarity and focus is amazing and as a sailor I find the stabilsed image superb. It is very helpful for star spotting before going to the telescope, and very practical for wildlife work when the focal range makes everything so clear as you focus in on the subject. They are clearly for someone who really does need the magnification - such as at sea or mountaineering, but Zeiss also acknowledges this as it treats them as specialist glasses. I have Zeis 15x60's, Leica 10x42's and folding Pentax glasses but these are difficult not to take whatever the task.

Carl zeiss binoculars
I have one of this for years. I think there is no other binoculars in the market like that. I simply love it. I know it's expensive but its zeiss .if you check to see how their lenses are made, you would then know why they are so expensive. I think you can only compare a Carl zeiss binoculars with a Carl zeiss binoculars.
