Natural!
I'm wrapping tree trunks to keep my goats from chewing on the bark. Advertised as food grade which I wanted so it wouldn't stink and won't get my goats sick if they did nibble on it. Doesn't stink like the other nasty burlap I have smelled. I couldn't find a food grade burlap in 6" strips, so I bought this and cut it into strips myself. It has been on my trees for several months and has worked great - way better than the paper or polyester wraps I tried that didn't last well at all.

Not for weeds
Seemed very high quality. Put it in garden but weeds came through :( Even bought the tighter weave.

Exactly what I wanted
This is a good quality burlap for my use and I love that it is made in the USA. I bought it to germinate seedlings and it’s doing a good job keeping them hydrated. There is no noxious smell like other reviews I have read. It just smells like burlap.

Protected tree from triple digit heat 🔥
I bought this to protect my fruit bearing grapefruit tree in zone 9a and I kept it on for almost 2 months. I took it down just recently because night time temps have cool down and day time isn’t scorching anymore. The part of the tree that was under the burlap, the leaves were smooshed, not broken, but that’s purely cosmetic. But there are no burned leaves or damaged leaves from the sun!The only down side, maybe I didn’t read the description properly, or maybe this isn’t listed, but, with the burlap removed, that part of the tree has no new growth! So I have an uneven looking tree. It doesn’t bother me because it’s a cosmetic issue and it just needs to catch up to the other side that wasn’t covered and kept growing. With the burlap gone, my tree is seeing new growth of leaves on the side that was covered. Regardless of this, 5 stars because my tree was protected from the sun I just wish I had put it up earlier. I had no more fruit by the time I placed it!Forget to mention, where I live it held up fantastically with the crazy monsoon storms and high winds. It staked it to the ground and just had it sit on the tree. With high winds and storms it would fall off but I would just go and pick it back up and it was always intact.

very nice. Using it as underlayment for landscape fabric in vegetable garden.
very nice. Using it as underlayment for landscape (plastic) fabric--made in China-- in vegetable garden (Not sure if anything toxic might leach out of that landscape fabric, so I am using the burlap under the plastic landscape fabric.) Ran short of burlap--I mismeasured-- so ordered five more pieces. Using with Hong-Way landscape fabric staples, which are superior! Not like the cheap ones Home Depot sells. Missed several staples when I was closing garden last year; they wintered over still in ground. When I pried they up, I found they can be used again. So easy to pound into the hard clay that passes for dirt in this part of the country. I'd recommend both--burlap and staples. One of the burlap pieces had a raggedy edge the entire length, but that was the only flaw I found.
