Aqua Optima PJ0673 Oria Fridge Water Filter Jug for Reduction of microplastics, Chlorine, limescale and impurities, Blue

I'm seeing a lot of negative reviews on here about this item. Some of them looking at the photographs are justifiable and the company should respond to these. But my own review is simply this.The Jug is a good size, it filters water. It does it quickly and there is a difference even though others have said it's useless. ( i live in an area that is being destroyed and the water affected so i can truthfully say this)The Lid... i'm noticing that some reviews have said the lid does not fit. It does, it is a pressure fit, meaning you have to give the sides of the lid a gentle squeeze near the front to secure it and open it.The cartridge... It needs soaking fully emmersed for 15 minutes in water to remove and settle any disruption from transit. Granted it is possible for the cartridge to become damaged if treated shoddily in transit. Again this is something the company should respond to if yours is not working as it should.Taste.... Much nicer and in my own personal experience for where i live, it's quite shocking at the difference.I bought 2 of these, one for myself and one for my mum who lives in a different part of the country.Neither of us has any complaints. We do however have a question for the company. Would it not be more eco friendly to make reusable filter stones rather than just constant plastic cartridges that are thrown away.

Wish I'd bought one years ago. Our water supply is from a bore hole and the water is very hard, resulting in brown scummy cups of tea, scaled up kettles, taps and everything else using the water. Goodness knows why I'd never thought about buying a filter jug before now - probably because I didn't believe one could make so much difference.How wrong can you be? I now enjoy clear, tasty water, scum free cuppas, and not a trace of scaling in the kettle.With this jug you just have to wait for all the water to filter through to the bottom section before pouring, otherwise it can splash around when pouring. Topping up the jug is an absolute doddle, changing the filter is really easy, and the jug is inexpensive. It also fits into the fridge door shelf. It's a bargain.

We using filter jug for quite some time. This jug is our favourite. Quality is good and cartridges are cheap to buy compare to brita. Good value for money

The media could not be loaded. This water jug is great. Make sure you follow the instructions first. You must!!!! Clean the filter before using it otherwise you will get black bits of carbon In your water and also make sure the lid is on and secured properly otherwise it will leak when pouring. However I followed the instructions and the water tastes great. I wanted one because since lockdown our water has tasted funny and with this hot weather I like to drink lots of water so I gave in and brought this jug and I’m glad I did because it’s great value for money so far. It fits perfectly in our fridge and easy to use. So happy xxxx

Keep your coffee machine limescale free.

Very happy with this new Aqua Optima water jug. Easy to use, fast flow through filter. My tap water tests at 180 TDS (total dissolved solids) and the filtered water testing at 120 which is great. I know there are other systems that filter more aggressively but they are much more expensive and the filtering takes a long time. In addition getting below 50 TDS might actually be a health negative. Perhaps most importantly the water tastes excellent. The long term question is how often will my filters need testing. Brita filters do not actually filter much out but the water does taste good. However the killer for me is that Brita filters need very frequent changing in my opinion.
