I Like Gino'sEast DeepDish/StuffedCheese BOX Pizza ButTheyAlso Have It Frozen At Jewel Much Cheaper!
Our Review Of Gino’s East (Chicago-ish Style) Deep Dish Cheese Pizza In Short:A friend of mine ordered the 5-pack from Amazon, and overall I will say that if you must try a stuffed pizza, for the first time, it’s best to try it fresh from the restaurant before trying the boxed or frozen pizzas they now have online and at the grocer.Traditionally, Stuffed/Deep Dish Pizza crusts are made thick, biscuit-Dough Style and are either Flour or a Corn-hybrid Crust. Although the ingredients said wheat-flour, Gino’s East crust texture is not unlike what I have seen in some corn-flour crusts.. But it may be the oils in the base. There is always room for improvement, but overall the flavor was not bad, although I do think that there could have still been more cheese on the pie. But, it served it’s purpose.I have been a fan of Chicago Style Stuffed pizza for some time and like the idea of the ease of online ordering, but nothing beats the quality of a freshly made pizza versus a box-frozen pizza anyday. And the price on Amazon is much higher than at the grocer for the same type of product. If you are going to spend that kind of money, order Catered Pizza, but made fresh same day. And if you are going to get a box pizza, then get it from your local grocer (in Chicago Jewel or Mariano’s has Gino’s East Chicago Style DeepDish and they used to have Leona’s Chicago Style also) but the grocer will have it a much lower price-point than what you see on Amazon. Right now a decent A fresh baked medium Stuffed Cheese Pizza Is STILL Under $50 and typically around $25. For what you are getting, Amazon is overcharging.Overall, the pizza was not bad and/but for under $10bucks, I’d try it again (from the grocer).Grade: A Solid C; or 3.25Stars!

Doesn’t taste like Gino’s East at all
Not Gino’s East quality ... mediocre pizza ... not sure what this was but it was not good. I have ordered direct from Gino’s before and it was great. Lous is great thru TOC ... but this was like a mediocre frozen pizza. Crust and sauce were not even close to Gino’s. Must be a knock off??

Pizza Lover - Not so much anymore
We ordered directly from Gino's the first time around and the pizza's were amazing! When I found these on amazon we ordered them and the quality was horrible. Does not taste the same, pepperoni is bunched up in the middle. Most of the crusts were cracked and broken. Very disappointing. Threw them out they were not very edible.

Did the microwave option on cooking...
Left the bag on so it could hold in the heat, then baked it. Took more time than they recommended to hit the internal temp of 165.... but when it did, it was awesome! Cut in half and tilt the board up so the sauce can stay on....

The pizza's great but they way they make you buy it bites
I am a HUGE fan of the GINO'S EAST Chicago-style deep dish pizzas, fresh AND frozen. In fact, I believe the frozen pies are the best frozen Chicago-style pizzas currently on the market. Despite what their website will tell you, their distribution is spotty at best. Here in KC, it has been available in 5 different grocery store chains only to disappear without notice and reappear again in the same manner. Currently, the closest grocery store to me that carries it is a 2 1/2 hour drive, ONE WAY.So imagine my happiness to see them available on Amazon, only to see that I'll have to pay 3X the retail price IF I purchase 7 at once. The way they display the product here makes it look like you're getting the restaurant pizzas, prepared and parbaked for shipping, NOT the regular frozen pies made for supermarkets. Giordono's does this and with no photos of the packaging, it's easy to assume Gino's East is doing the same thing. If they're restaurant pies, around $25ea is great. Thankfully, someone did a video review and the first thing I noticed in his hand was THE RETAIL BOX. The ones that contain a pizza that normally sells for around $8 retail. Are you kidding me?I know it's kind of a pain to ship frozen items but 3x the retail price is WAY too much to ask! This shouldn't be costing the customer more than $12 ea.To fans of your pizza, this feels like gouging. Don't get me wrong; I love these pizzas enough I'll make the 4-5 hour round trip to buy a dozen or so and bring them home. It will still be considerably less expensive than $25 a pop for frozen pizzas. Hell, I may buy an electric car just because of this! I hear embarrassed Democrats are selling their Teslas cheap right now......
