After some very heavy rains our less than year old pump stopped working. Moisture got in the control panel and was beyond repair. Really crappy that Pentair only warrants the pump for 60 days. Our pool was installed late in season last year so we’ve only used the pump since May of 2021. I was happy we could only replace the drive for 1/2 the cost of entire pump but honestly that never should’ve happened to begin with. Very poor design from pentair. Our pump is a model 342002 and this part fixed our pump too even though it’s listed for 342001. Was easy to replace.

I was able to resurrect my 1 year 4 month old Pentair 342001 SuperFlo VS pool pump by replacing this component. It was about half the price of a whole new pump, so worth a shot since the pump motor, impeller, and housing should have several years life remaining.This was an exact brand new replacement. Same Nidec kcca0192-0002 part number, same revision. I was kind of hoping they might have released a revised, more robust, part - but this one's seemingly identical to the original.I have whole-house surge suppression, in addition to a local suppressor at the pump service disconnect, so I'm not certain if it was lightening or some other factor that led to the original's failure, but I'm hopeful this one lasts longer... I really do prefer the efficiency and quiet of a variable-speed pump, but the drive electronics seem to be a weak link...

Loved it... for a few years. It was installed with the pool by a pool company. What it saved in electricity doesn't come close to the motor drive replacement cost of $500 annually. It ran great for 3 years, then the drive (part with the keypad on it) failed. I replaced it last year, it failed in less than a year, I've been emailing and calling Pentair daily all week, no answer, no response.Do your research, find a manufacturer that cares about their customers, and takes pride in their product.We'll be installing another pool at a new home, and will never have a Pentair product again.

Came in fast and does the job. Instructions are great. It's easy to install and set up!

The price is obscene IMHO. Pentair refuses to repair or even offer a credit or exchange for the broken one. Mine turned out to be not broken. My overcurrent error was caused by a clogged filter, and too strong a check valve in my pool plumbing that was designed for a single speed pump. I cleaned the filter, and removed the check valve, and now the old controller works fine. The pentair manual only says to check the mechanics, not the controller for the overcurrent error. Very disappointed in both the company’s policy and the manual. The VS pump seems to work fine.

Easy to install. The one I replaced only a couple years old. Hoping I don’t have to replace every couple of years! Packaging was awesome. Only thing was it took a week to get it.

I’ve had this pump for 6 years. It has operated (as a pump) just fine. The problem I am having is that the “drive” (or control panel) has gone bad when using the “quick clean” feature. After many calls to Pentair about my issue I was finally told the drive was bad. I agree with another reviewer. They don’t seem to care very much. My next pump will be just a pump with a separate timer box. I’m not certain a variable speed pump saves money. I don’t know. Especially when you have to replace a part that costs $400 or more.

ordered this item because it was associated with my pentair pump. come to find out there was a revision change for pumps manufactured after 11/20 p/n 356279. it is not compatible with my newer pump. you don't want to pay a restocking fee or much less be out of money if you open it.
