Nice winter coat, I'm 6'6" and 280lbs and 60yo and ordered 3xt. This is a well built coat and warm warm warm. I have been out in below zero and am impressed. The best winter coat I have ever owned.

Best Winter Coat I Have Ever Had
I have had more expensive winter coats, but this one is the BEST.It fits well.It has plenty of pockets. The collar zips right up to your chin, and the thick, warm hood snaps closed in front of that. TWO snaps. This hood really seals out the wind. Best of all though, the hood does NOT smash my glasses into the bridge of my nose. I have had many coats with hoods that did exactly that, and wearing them for any length of time was uncomfortable. I really like this coat!

Frustrating zipper.
Needs a better zipper. I like the jacket, nice and warm and well constructed . Ashame that it is hampered by a tempermental zipper. It needs the next larger industrial grade YKK zipper that would allow it to be aligned easier when you're putting on the coat. Otherwise it's a good work coat . Maybe the zipper just needs to break in ,but it"s way to frustrating trying to get it to start. Would be 5 star otherwise.

I bought this coat specifically to wear while riding my scooter in freezing to below-freezing temperatures -- and it's been great! The velcro at the wrists is especially useful for keeping the wind out. I love the high collar that shields my neck without needing a scarf. It's a bit large on me because I'm a woman so my proportions are a bit off. The fabric is also a bit stiff so in combination with the size I feel a little like a kid in an overstuffed down jacket. But hopefully with some time the fabric will loosen up and that will be less of an issue.

Montana winter-approved
I purchased this coat for my brother, and he was so impressed by the quality how warm it is I just bought him another in a different color. For reference, we live in MT and it can be difficult to find winter coats that are warm enough. These coats are a great value and really well made. I ordered a 4x, and fit was true to size.

Hella warm coat!
As with all Red Kap I ordered a size smaller than I normally wear and it’s a perfect fit.I say bring on winter.

Zipper is cheaply made
Good and the bad. Jacket is big really warm but the zipper is very cheaply made. Only had it a day and seems like it's falling apart. If they made a zipper that wasn't cheap plastic it would probably be a great jacket. Until they get better zippers I wouldn't buy another one.

This coat is huge.
Well, it's pretty well made and would be very warm however I will never wear it because it looks ridiculous. It's so puffy that it's not practical to be worn unless looking silly isn't something that you care about. It puffs out a good 4 inches from the body. I too will likely be donating it.
