Hartz UltraGuard Plus Topical Flea & Tick Prevention for Dogs and Puppies - 5-15 lbs, 3 Monthly Treatments

We don’t have a problem with fleas where we live by the ocean but travel every summer to Northern MI and lots of grass so fleas and ticks are a concern. Last summer we used Seresto but that’s a big no-go now so we wanted something topical that wouldn’t be super pricey since we only needed it to be effective for the couple weeks we were there. This product applies easily, only complaint is it left a thick, oily streak all down our dog’s back and even 3 days later it was still pretty greasy and yuck so we had to give him a bath and scrub it. Still did the trick and we didn’t spot a single flea entire trip and now even a month later he’s still flea free!

I guess it works?… my dog doesn’t have any fleas. The only concern I have about all pet flea and tick products is that they only protect the pet from being bitten. It doesn’t keep them from bringing them in the house where they’ll just seek a different host… like a human. I hope I’m wrong, but the science indicates otherwise?

Came quicker than expected ! That was great , I use this product all the time but it’s nice to know I don’t have to hunt it down because every one is out getting them . Summers coming…. Keeping my baby pest free !

We live in an area where wildlife roams our yard at night. So most every year there is a flea infestation (happens late winter not sure why).We have used this and products like it many times but always end up frustrated as the situation deteriorates anyway and end up going to the vet for the stronger prescription products.It may work if your dog has just started getting a few fleas and you catch it early. But neither this nor several other topical flea killer products and soaps just did not stop it.

I hate pulling ticks off my dog. I was a little late buying it this year and had to remove quite a few after he ran in the long grass. Not pleasant! We buy this one every year. Since our dog has had it on, no more ticks in the long grass. Read and follow the directions though.

I have been using this product for years on my dogs. Works great, have never had an issue.

Does not work! I read the Instructions several times I have 3, 5 pound dogs so I used 1 tube for each dog and the fleas haven't gone anywhere. My dogs spend at most 20 minutes outside a day. So either these Texas fleas are a different breed or these flea and tick topical don't work! I've tried many brands none of them work.It's been 1 week since I applied the product, they haven't had a bath or anything! It's so unfortunate I keep wasting money hoping something will provide relief..I love the smell that's the only thing that's nice about the product
