Works but with a caveat
Update 9/1/21:Wrote the previous update not knowing that the seller warranty's this product. If you look at the stickers on the side of the units, all the ones on Amazon are the same manufacturer. That means you go with the seller with the best customer service. This seller made good on their warranty, so I'm bumping back up to 4 stars based on that. Replacement unit they sent me is working fine.Update 8/1/21:After only 4 months, complete electrical failure on the water dispensing solenoid. Had my wife actuate the switch while I held the meter on the terminals, 125 volts at the solenoid. Unplugged and removed the connector. Checked continuity across the terminals, no continuity. Electrically dead. So after only 4 months of use, it's toast. I'd say unless you just need to nurse that old fridge along for a few weeks until you can take delivery of the new one, don't bother. This thing's a waste of time. The reason I replaced this is that the old one would work intermittently. If you hit the switch a few times, it would kick on. This replacement one did exactly the same thing, just not as frequently, so I figured it was something else in the electronics causing the issue and just dealt with the issue of having to hit the switch a couple times to get it to go. Now that I've verified good voltage at the connector when you hit the switch, I'm thinking this one was probably DOA and should have sent it back. My mistake, but I won't be buying another one of these.Original review from March 2021:This item was a good replacement for the one part of my assembly, but the other part, which was spot welded to this, had to be removed by drilling out the spot weld. I took one star off for this. If you look at the first photo, you can see clearly that there's an extra component which looks like a pre-filter or something attached to the main bracket. In the last pic you can see the part number, 230757, which is listed above as compatible, so this should include everything that one came with, but it didn't. Something else that miffed me a bit was it claimed this had instructions in the box, but my box had no instructions. Not really a problem, but I'm a bit annoyed that they failed to deliver on a promise. Besides that, you just need to hook everything up the way it was when you removed the old part, which is pretty straightforward. Second photo you can see where I drilled out the spot weld. Third photo you can see once the other component was removed, the two parts look similar enough that they interchange just fine.Long story short, this will work, but you have to do some work to get the two brackets apart so you can re-use the other assembly. I wish the instructions had been there and I would have realized this right away (assuming they showed the drilling out of the spot weld), but alas they weren't there, so I spent way more time with furrowed brow thinking about what I needed to do to make this work with my fridge. Again, only one star off because the new part works, and the price is really good, but after almost two years, you'd think they could straighten out these little quality issues, so a second star gets knocked off as well. My hope is that when they see this review they'll fix the listing so it accurately represents what you're getting and what you need to do to get the part installed.

Yes! Replaced in minutes!
After 2 days of towels for water all over my floor, my nightmare ended. I paid extra to have it delivered early am but that was applied to another portion of my order. When it arrived, it was on and working perfectly in 15 minutes. Next time I will break my order apart so a needed part arrives when expected.

Warranty honored
Purchased this valve on March 16th., 2021. Valve worked great for 11 months and then started leaking at the ice maker so inlet tube froze solid and would not let the ice maker fill with water. I ask about the one year warranty. They told me that they have had no problem with this valve but sent me a new valve. Service was fast and Sarah was great to work with. I highly recommend this company and their service. Received the new valve today and now I can have ice again. Thank you Amazon.

May not be 100% compatible to models listed
Hello,We have a 2001 Kenmore model 50582001. The solenoid value part number for that model is 2205762. This part number is listed. The old part we pulled out has an additional bracket welded to it that the main water line runs through. We couldn't separate them so we installed the new part but also had to keep the original part that has the main line running through. We had to kind shove the original part in the space at the bottom. The new part worked like a charm and stopped the dripping but the installation didn't quite goes as we had planned.
