This was very much appreciated . A really lovely story especially for Guinea pig lovers. I’ve just ordered the second in the series.

If your child loves stories, they will love this mini series, and if they love Guinea pigs, they will love it even more! I read this with my 8 & 10 year old boys over a number of weeks at bedtime and we all really enjoyed them, highly recommend.

Anyone who reads and who loves animals, especially Guinea-Pigs, will adore this delightful, adventurous tale. Highly recommended reading, for ALL ages!

Absolutely loved this book! I read it in just a few days which is rare for me, I can't remember the last time I finished a book. It is an easy read and probably best suited for teenagers, but as a guinea pig obsessed adult I found it entertaining, wholesome and heartwarming, and would definitely recommend to any animal/piggy lovers 😊The book itself is great quality and would make a lovely gift.

Beautifully written once I got past the opening [sad, had me snivelling] but i really wanted to cheer for Betty and her rescue mission. Gorgeous illustrations and looking forward to receiving the sequel any day now.I'm a very big guinea pig fan.

I loved every single page! I have a guinea pig myself, and had had another before, and I can very well appreciate how they inspire the most elevated of sentiments. And J.P Stringer has so much perfectly captured their influence. I'd had to make a decision to wait to read her first book once again, to be able to absorb more of it, or go on to her second, 'Secrets in Brierley Bramble'. Well, the second won out a couple of days ago and I'm now through about 65 pages and finding it just as marvelous!

I purchased the book for my 10 year old son, and after we read the first chapter together before bed, I stayed up and finished the book! Great story, good writing, lovely characters. I'm sad it's over, and looking forward to my son enjoying it as well!

If you love guinea pigs you will love this book. It is a very charming tale that will appeal to all ages. It is not a difficult read. You will find yourself longing to cuddle Hazel, cheering on Betty and hoping the nasty Brays get what they deserve. The illustrations are lovely.

It's a cute story about guinea pigs. My kids did not care for the magical element but liked the realistic bits about the guinea pigs.
