Very good product
Very nice bag, I’ve had it for a few months ans the stitches are holding strong it’s huge and well made. As other reviewers stated it dose have a “plastic bag shoping forever” kinda smell that is really strong. But leave it outside it went away after a day or two. I love this bag and it seems sturdy I’d full recommend it ti a friend

Nice Bag
Its a good product. I think my old sea bag, issued in the 80's, may of been better quality. The straps and attachments. It still looks of good quality. I may have to buy one of a different color for my trip to South America .. Nothing screams Narc like a olive green bag

Smells incredibly bad and can't be cleaned.
I did receive an item that obviously seems new and unused, but the smell of spoiled dairy (think Romano cheese times 50) was overpowering.Put it in the dryer with some dryer sheets and it started to unravel. Turns out all the edges were unfinished nylon and it simply started to unweave at every edge and come unsewn. So I figured what the hell, I'm already into this beyond return, and I got out a lighter and went around all the edges to finish them so it couldn't unravel any further.Put it back in the dryer. Have run five cycles in the dryer with dryer sheets and hung it outdoors for several days.No change. The incredible, all-permeating scent of rotten cheese has not let up. I've had other products made of this material that didn't smell this way. What's going on here? I'm starting to worry about safety even if I do get it to stop smelling so bad.Mold? Vomit? Where has this been stored, and what's going on here? Not sure I'll be using it. If I can't get it to stop smelling, I may end up having to burn it.--- UPDATE ---So not being familiar with military gear, I wasn't aware of this, but now I've been educated. The smell comes from the decomposition of the polyurethane interior lining (waterproofing coating). No disinfectant or anti-odor product will get rid of the smell because that decomposition is continuing, so even if you hit it with every product on earth today, it will smell like vomit or stinky cheese again tomorrow because the coating will continue to degrade. The only solution, I've been told, is to remove the anti-waterproofing coating completely. I have been given the advice to use hot white vinegar, and tons of it, as a soak, and then after that to rinse well and use powdered tide, and after that, to give the whole interior a very hard scrub with a nylon brush in hopes of dissolving/dislodging the waterproofing layer completely so that there's nothing left to decompose.I am not hopeful.I have also been told that the off-gassing is actually carcinogenic, so if I can't successfully eliminate the smell, I should discard the bag as a safety measure.Would recommend against buying this product.

sooooo stinky
I ordered this because it's supposed to be genuine GI. However, as other reviews have stated, it smells like complete ass coming out of the package. It literally made my whole backyard smell like rotting cheese for days now. I haven't been able to use or inspect the bag yet, but from a distance it looks good. It is large enough to hold a lot of stuff.

Ye Olde Basic Bag
Ye olde basic seabag. My original U.S. government issued seabag from 1985 is stouter and better than this make and model.
