6 months in. So far so good.
Wasn’t sure if this would fit my 03 Mitsubishi Montero but it did. To be extra sure, I’ve re-torqued (with a torque wrench) these wheel locks every 200 miles for a good while and they’ve never loosened up. I ordered a set of 20 lug nuts but my vehicle needed 24 so it was perfect to have these Gorilla locks as my remaining 4 lug nuts. My vehicle is parked outside and driven in the rain which has been these past two seasons and no signs of rust. It is up to you to decide if these are good enough for theft prevention. Some time ago, I’ve bought Gorilla locks before and within a week, they started rusting from being parked outside in the rain. Mind you, the locks were on a rear mounted spare tire. I know a lot of dirt and debris gets picked up and stays on the rear end of the vehicle especially when driven in the rain but the lug nuts on the driving wheels get just as much dirt and debris if not worse with the added brake dust so that would lead me to believe these should’ve rusted out within a week as well. But I’m am pleased that they still look brand new after 6 months. Pics were taken right after a wash.It is good practice to not bang lug nuts with tools carelessly to help preserve the coatings. Plenty of times, I’ve seen lug nuts with rust forming in the dings and scratches from tools being jammed on and off. I recommend wiping some silicone spray onto the lug nuts any time the wheels need to come off or after a wash to help prevent rust.

Good solid wheel locks
Locks are a good fit for my 07 fj cruiser. These lugs fit down inside of the stock wheel so they will be more secure than those that are longer and exposed.Socket seems to be well made/hardened and fits the lugs well. I used a smallish impact and everything went well.No damage to the nuts or the socket. No rust in the few weeks I have had them on the fj and we have lots of salt on the roads here in SLC

Great Locks
Bought for 2024 Tacoma. There is some confusion as to what part fits the new, 2024 Tacoma. The right size lug is 14 x 1.50. I am not sure but might be what the Tundra used in the past. Anyway, I have bought these for my cars since way back. Not sure why but the approach with the exterior grooves impresses me more than the more typical approach others use. Can't speak to the longevity but older locks from Gorilla have held up well with no rust in New England winter road crud. Price on Amazon is a lot better than on Gorilla site

Good-quality locks
I bought these for my 2019 Camry with 18" alloy wheels, after having previously purchased Gorilla locks for another vehicle, which have lasted 9 years and still look good. These Toyota locks look very similar to the OE lugnuts, the main difference being the ridges on the locks to fit the key. Since the locks and lug nuts go into recessed openings in the wheels, you would have to look closely to see a difference. And since they are recessed, you don't have to worry about someone removing them with vise grips or some other tool, as there is not enough exposed to get something around them.I did purchase a spare key from Gorilla, the key code and instructions for ordering come with the lock set. Yes, the extra key costs $15, but if you need to remove the locks and discover that you can't find the original key, you will wish you had forked over for the spare. For both of my cars, I keep one key in the car and the spare in my tool box at home.Others have said that they use an impact wrench on the locks, but I don't recommend that. Not only do you risk damaging the lock, but you might also damage the finish, which could explain why some have experienced rusting. I remove them with a standard socket, and to replace, I install them finger-tight, then use my torque wrench to tighten them to spec. I've done this on the 9-year-old locks on my other car, and as I said earlier, they still work and look good.Another tip -- You need a 3/4" socket to fit the hex on the key. You want to make sure that your car's lug wrench will fit the hex, in case you get a flat on the road and probably don't have other tools with you. Chances are it will fit, but if not, you might want to keep a 3/4" socket and ratchet in the car just in case. FYI, my Camry's lug wrench does fit the key hex, but double-check yours just to be on the safe side.So overall, I'm very happy with these locks they are good quality and hopefully will last the life of the car.
