I purchased this product recently. It arrived with chips on the wooden portion. For $100, there is an expectation that the product be manufactured with precision and care. The pricing mandates this type of customer expectation. I like the product. I like the idea of the product, and would still consider purchasing the product. Yet, the pricing is ridiculously high and the quality very low. It makes no sense, and given past reviews, it appears the company is nonresponsive to addressing either point.

I gave it to a yachtsman who was about to sail across the Pacific single-handed, and he was very pleased with it.

I love the product. The quality is top notch and I think the size is just fine. It arrived from the USA super quick as well.If I have a gripe it's this : The item cost me £81 (sterling) and I knew I was paying £68 (Sterling) for carriage. What I wasn't expecting was the £40 (Sterling) bill from the haulier a few weeks later in relation to import duty. So in essence a very nice £81 paper weight has in reality cost me £189 (Ouch!).
