My clown loaches are about 12 years old. These monsters have followed me to three different homes in two different states, and to say I am fond of the little guys would be an understatement. My aquarium could loosely be called a community tank, but to be fair, the other fish are in there mostly for interest at the higher levels of the tank. It is really a loach tank.That means I like to give them little treats. In addition to the beef heart they adore, and the cucumber they like to graze on in the middle of the night, I like to crumble these little wafers up in the middle of the day and watch them wiggle as they pick up the pieces and “run” off to their little hiding places to eat them in privacy.The wafers are about the size of a nickel and retain their shape well in the package, but are soft enough to crumble as desired to a smaller size. In addition to the clown loaches, the tetras in the tank seems to enjoy the crumbs, and even the cichlids grab a piece or two before the pieces hit bottom to be snatched up by the ever hungry loaches.The loaches give these five stars. Who am I to disagree?

My frogs fight with my fish for these tablets they literally swap the fish away and take the tablets from them and then go and hide and munch on them and then leave their scraps laying around for the fish to find later. It’s actually really cool. The quality seems to be exactly what fish food should be like.they don’t turn mushy in the water so their durability is really good. They have a slight smell that you almost can’t detect, and with the lid on it doesn’t stink. If you don’t put too many in your fish, will eat them all and the tank will stay clean. And there was a point where I only fed them these for about two weeks so they seem to give them the proper nutrition. As far as performance goes, they seem to be the right chew ability for a fish.

I have had many algae wafers from various brands. I usually get the tetra wafer, fluval bug bite, and hikari wafers. My local petsmart had none of them were there when i drove to it despite online displayed few items left at the store. I ordered this wafer thinking what a great deal it was. The issue is that majority of blue eye pleco do not touch them. Only guppies nip at them. I get that the food maybe new to them. Waited a week, but those lazy pleco do not accept the wafer and decided to go on hunger strike and waited death. some becoming pale with shrunk stomach. I had to order some bugbite, and now all of my plecos are eating again bugbite again. Lessons: l144, especially long fins, will not eat this algae wafer. Go any major brand. I bet this fish food taste like food from tourist popular restaurant. Meh

Feels weird to write a review for algae wafers but they are great, we have one giant golden algae eater I have named Fish Stick.1-2 wafers are perfect for him and my favorite part is the sink IMMEDIATELY. With other wafers I would have to fish them around and try to dunk them to get them to sink where he uses looks about for his food.
