Perfect for occasional guests!
I agonized over choosing the right sleeper chair and this was the result of my research. Backstory: we moved out of our house and were staying at a hotel for several weeks while we were moving state. The room slept four and we had five of us. It arrived in two parts and was easily assembled. My 6’3” som slept on it every night for three weeks until his new apartment was ready. He had the opportunity to swap or take turns with his two brothers but he chose to use the chair bed each night. I chose it bc it has arms so you don’t fall out, it also passes easily for a normal chair. Only one quick, easy movement to slide the foot extension back under the chair and you just lift the chair back with one hand back into the seating position! My son took the chair with him to his one bed apartment so he can have friends stay over.I couldn’t recommend this more highly!

The customer service was terrific.
As other reviews note, these chairs are on the hard side, which means the bed is too. But, adding a foam mattress topper that could be cut to the right size was an easy enough fix. Our son in law laid on the bed and said he wished their bed was as firm, so clearly people have different expectations about what is comfortable. The sleeper is also not a standard twin size, but the twin sheets I have work well enough with the extra tucked under. We ordered two chairs and initially got only one box — the one that didn’t have any tools to assemble or instructions. When I messaged the seller, I got a reply within a few hours to assure me that the other three boxes would arrive soon. They did. The seller also later sent suggestions about pads to make the bed softer, responded to my suggestions for slight improvements (like adding casters to the legs to make the chair easier to move on carpet) and was polite, clear, and prompt throughout the process. Our grandchildren visit only a few times a year, so these will work well for our purposes. Time will tell how they hold up, but for the price, the quick delivery, and especially the customer service, I wouldn’t hesitate to order from this seller again.

A good buy
A sturdy and well constructed sleep chair. It was very comfortable when made into a single bed. It was easy to switch from chair to bed. A bit pricey, but well worth it.

Do not buy!
Purchased this chair to mostly use as a sleeper for house guests. Arrived in three boxes and assembly was easy. One of the arm rest panels had a 2" tear in the fabric that the company put a loose patch on that fell off as soon as I opened the box. The tear was well hidden once assembled so I gave it a shot. The cushions are very stiff which is not terrible as a chair. The big problem was trying to use it as a sleeper. The metal box frame has two cross bars that dig into your hip and shoulder when laying on it and makes it extremely uncomfortable. Several of the reviews I read before purchasing said they used a mattress pad to make it more comfortable but it would take another thin mattress to keep from feeling the frame bars. Even a 90 pound teenager could not sleep on it with a padded mattress topper. I attempted to return the item since it said FULL refund in 30 days on the items listing but the company said I would have to pay for the expensive shipping and a 20% re-stocking fee. When I requested a copy of their return policy since it appeared different than the one listed with the product they just offered me a $20 discount and said since it was too expensive to ship that I should try to sell it myself. Repeated attempts to return the item for a full refund were refused by AECOJOY-US. Bottom line, the chair/sleeper is cheaply made, VERY uncomfortable, arrived with some damage and the companies customer service is non-existent.

Took a risk on this - am happy
Took a risk on this as the reviews were mixed. Overall I'm very happy. The chair is pretty and seems solid (granted I haven't been jumping on it and my guests who have used it weighed 225 pounds or less). Have had it for a few months now and so far so good.Assembly was straight forward. I have seen some comments about needing to drill holes due to misalignment of parts and I'm wondering if they simply were installing certain parts backward. Not sure. But mine at least went together easily enough. As far as quality of materials - it seems ok. I'm 6 foot, 300 pounds and I have avoided really using it for myself based on reviews about it not being very sturdy (it is more for guests who are spending the night etc.) but it does hold my weight while sitting on it in the regular chair position (I haven't lied on it as a bed myself, although people that are in the 225 pound range have and they haven't had any issues, said it was reasonably comfortable, etc.)Overall, I think for a room where you don't want a dedicated bed but need something in case people come over it is a very good value. Even for someone skinny / small who needs a convertible sleeper (I'm thinking a college student living in a studio apt. etc.) it could work daily use.
