This is a great trainer, good size, thick, solid and for all practical purposes unbreakable. I've already put this and another variant I ordered through the paces in training. This particular model seems to be modeled exactly to the dimensions of the Gil Hibben kerambit. The finger ring is comfortable and should fit most people fine. The flat sides are textured to look a bit like wood. I definitely recommend these.They arrived quickly.

The main issue with these different karambit trainer designs is the size of the finger hole and whether it will fit those intending to use it. In my case, it's great. I also like the blade design since sometimes even the safety blades are too dangerous to move fast without great care. This blade has a feel when used against your skin that is soft and forgiving even at higher rates of speed.

This is probably one of my favorite purchases (besides my latest Batman comic... maybe) in a while. I've been working with some Kali forms and techniques, all using standard straight bladed training knives, but since discovering the karambit style of knife I've been wanting to adapt it into my practice. This trainer is great, and I've already gotten some great use out of it. The marketplace seller (MMA Forge of Metro Detroit Michigan) got my training knife out to me quick, and the product totally lives up to it's description. If you're into knife training in your martial arts practice, I highly recommend the karambit for it's versatility. If you're going to start practice with a karambit, you can do a whole lot worse than giving this item a try.

I got a pair of Espadas from the same company that I have rated 5 stars. I really want to give this one 5 also, but I am just being picky. I just thought that the diameter of the hole is a tad too wide for my finger but that's not really their fault. I would prefer 3/4" hole for better grip positioning, for that I give it 4 1/2. I wrapped the ring with hockey tape though, now it fits better.

Title really says it all. The ring is a good size (at least for my fingers), and the handle portion fits comfortably in the palm of my hand.Would make a solid self-defense item if you don't want to use a blade or a gun.Fits easily in my pocket/belt for quick draw, as is expected.The only caveat I've got, really, is that you might want to rough up the handle portion slightly (personal preference) for a better grip in a slick environment (e.g. rain, sweaty palms).If you know what you're doing with a karambit, this is a solid self-defense or trainer, especially for the price.

It does what it's supposed to do. It's reasonably attractive. There is an unpleasant ridge on the inside of the finger ring, though.

I love this product. It is very natural and has a nice feel to it. It is not too heavy, but not too light, allowing for easy transition from overhand to underhand cuts. The curvature is not too exaggerated or to straight, allowing easy transition to whatever knife you are using. The beveled finger hole is also a nice addition. Very comfortable. This has become my go to simply to keep my hands busy.

This is a great trainer to help one learn how to use a Karambit. It's a lot safer than using the real thing for practice.I recommend it to anyone who is serious about learning to use the Karambit.
