So very informative! This is a very well written and informative book, not just no nonsense photos. Actual chapters of reading to be done, which I love, just love to read, and history of that era! Other DA books are just fillers and not worth the money you pay for them!

Rarely do I get caught up watching " period pieces ", but this one got me from the very first episode. The writing is superb, the attention to detail unbelievable and the story line keeps you glued to the screen. The characters are believable and you grow attached to them. I have watched it twice and will probably watch it again. A truly great series.

Bought this for my Granddaughter. She loved it!

From the story arch to the acting, set design, and costumes, this series is a delight. Highly recommended for an escape from Covid-19 blues or any other trying situation. Certainly, a glossy portrayal of early 20th century imperial British society. But wittingly written by Julian Fellowes and lushly scored by John Lunn, there is scene after scene of 5-star entertainment.

Love having this set on hand.

After seeing the reviews on the DVDs, we had to watch the whole thing to make sure it worked ok (wink wink - our 4th time watching it), and it was all good. Love the series. Some of the special features have repeated footage which got a bit annoying (like the same interviews arranged differently in different specials). I'm glad we finally have the whole series and wont have to rely on Prime or something to be able to watch.

After borrowing and watching the first 4 of the series of Downton Abbey, I was hooked. I bought the complete series for myself and started over at the beginning to watch it again. Such a good show! Everyone should watch this.

This series was bought for my wife who loved watching it on TV and loved the book. Good character development and story doesn't get old half way through which is a plus. For a British series it is very well done and has some well known actors and actresses. So far I am happy with this purchase as my wife is very happy to have it.
