Liquitex Professional Gloss Varnish, 32-oz

I have been doing abstract art for almost 6-7 months now , I have painted some masterpiece along the way. One thing that bothered me was to varnish them. I tried it with Brustro but it ended up showing very visible brush strokes. I moved on to spray varnish.I made couple of good paintings and I wanted to varnish them properly and so I bought this liquitex glossy varnish. I fell into love with this product from the very first brush stroke. It was in consistency which did not need any addition of water or any sort of adjustment. No brush strokes whatsoever. It smelled nice as well, the previous one was so pungent and fuming that It would irritate my eyes and nose.The picture I posted is just after the first coat. There are two more coats pending but this in itself is amazing.

It's a very good varnish, self-leveling and quick drying. There's only a few minutes window to work before it starts getting tacky. A personal suggestion: don't use a spong brush and you'll save yourself from millions of tiny bubbles. Just apply the way makers suggest - with synthetic brush.

I recently used it on one of the paintings. Did a wonderful job with 4 coats on 2x2 feet and boom it was finished. But it was amazingly good. But if you have made the painting with that much effort I feel the product is worth it.

With one coat it gives gloss finish..it is expensive though but i really loved d results..

As an Artist I always try to use better products for my Paintings.. and it's very hard to find out a good one.. But this liquitex​gloss varnish is really Awesome.. it's easy to use and it's smooth silky finish is really gorgeous 😍..protects my Paintings very well and got so many compliments also 😊. for me best varnish from all I have used before...

The varnish is thick, but doesn't blend well. The brush strokes remain visible even after drying. I had better expectations from Liquitex, really disappointed.

I’m not into gloss finishes but I needed this for my acrylic painting. It works great! As described. Cleaned up so easy and the drying time was just as described. It sealed my painting enhancing the color. Great quality for the price.

Dries quickly and you can layer to add more shine

I'm an up and coming artist. I like this brand of media for its functionality and durability the colors pops with a clear finish. I would highly recommend.

My artwork (acrylic on canvas) will be exhibited outside for several weeks, so needed a varnish that would look good and stand up to rain and sun. Very happy with the way the varnish went on (it’s a spray—had to varnish three large panels) and the way the matte finish looks. It dried to the touch fairly quickly, but you need to wait st lesdt 24 hours between coats. The art hasn’t been displayed as I write, but if this review is still up after September 2024, you’ll know the varnish is amazing—because every year the exhibit has to withstand multiple storms and plenty of sun.
