Once I discovered this roll-on treatment, I would NEVER be without it. And truly, I've never been without it since, for about 3 years. I put this on every night on any spot or emerging spots to stop them. Anything that was red or inflamed is much smaller by the next day and is flat and healed within another day or two, including larger pimples. Any small bumps emerging are usually flat and disappear overnight. I tend to apply this on my finger first, then my face, since the roll can dispense too much sometimes. One bottle lasts me 3-4 months with nightly use.Studies show that thyme oil is as effective as benzoyl peroxide and MUCH gentler. I am prone to dry skin and have put this all over my face at times and it has never dried my skin out, yet treats the acne incredibly well. It smells strongly like thyme and eucalyptus, which reminds me of a spa. While I love the smell, I could see it possibly bothering others.If you have any reservations about treating acne with an oil, remember that products that dry out your skin stimulate your skin to produce more oil to re-balance. Treating acne with a purifying oil stops your skin from producing it's own oil into the blemish. I wasn't used to using oily products to treat acne / blemishes, but this is really great. It is effective on regular pimples, pimples you feel coming on, and even cysts. When I get a cyst, this helps it go away in 3 days-4, as opposed to weeks. It won't dry out your skin or make you peel - so you know it's better for your skin than those harsh chemicals. Great product, love the Evan Healy brand.

I was concerned about purchasing from amazon verses ordering directly from Evanhealy, but amazon proved true. It's the exact same thing I would have received from the direct web sight.To apply, you simply roll a smidge directly on your blemish. I nightly spot apply after washing my face, and the serum dries rather quickly because I'm usually in bed not long afterwards. I've been using this brand for a long time, and it works well. It does have a rather strong smell of tea tree oil, but I wouldn't say it lasts too long.

I've been slowly learning over the years that acne-oriented products that work by drying out the skin (I'm looking at you, tea tree oil) actually cause skin to over-compensate and produce tons more oil, making problems worse. So I was extremely intrigued, to say the least, to find a spot treatment product that is oil-based. No combination of benzoyl peroxide and/or salicylic acid has been making a dent in my breakouts the last several months, and I've been previously surprised by the effectiveness of botanical treatments (eg, Organic Rosacea & Sensitive Skin Treatment Serum (SBR) | Anti-Aging Formula for Sensitive Skin - By Teva Skin Care has been an absolute god-send for my mild rosacea), so I thought I'd give this a try.This product does have a smell; it's reminiscent of tea tree oil, but slightly sweeter. It has an orange-y color to it, which does not permanently dye the skin over time, but is noticeable in the first few minutes after application.I would describe my breakouts as mild to moderate, mainly cystic in nature. Sometimes I'll get one of those nice, ordinary pimples that comes to a head and then goes away over the span of a couple of days, but most of my breakouts are a weeks- or sometimes months-long battle. One overnight application of this noticeably helped with some of my more superficial bumps - like, 3D to 2D transformation overnight, with less redness and irritation. However, I haven't noticed any real progress since that first night; I've been using this every day for 8 days, and I still have noticeable red spots that haven't healed completely. It also has not had any effect on those stubborn cystic nodules (I'm talking about the lovely bumps that are left under the skin after a cystic breakout - lurking, waiting to ruin your life again), which remain the same size they've always been. I've been trying to apply as often as possible, sometimes up to 3-4 times a day, and I noticed a rash developing around one of my nodules behind my ear, so perhaps that was too often. (Bodies are so dumb - EAR acne, come on...)I'm interested to see how this performs over time. I think it's telling that this had an effect where my previous products had not. However, I had hoped this would clear things up in a more noticeable way. I'm starting to think the nodules might be out of the realm of over-the-counter products, so I'm trying not to judge this product too harshly for that, but overall, I guess I'd just hoped for more.
