Love this stoneware mug! Very well made. It has a square bottom that turns round at the top. The glaze is lovely and the design etching is very clean. MAJOR PLUS: huge sturdy handle for big hands!Shipping was estimated for April but it arrived in less than a week. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a unique gift.

I’ve been using this pretty much every day since I got it. My go to coffee mug. My dad loved chess. And coffee. And I’m a sentimental sap and miss him, so, chess mug coffee forever. It holds a good amount of coffee and is narrow enough that it also doesn’t get cold fast.

Handle is broken when arrived

I ordered three of these: my husband and sons love them. Heavy, smooth and beautiful colors, and easy to hold grip. They are pretty enough to just display, but great for hot beverages. They do fine in the microwave and dishwasher. I would order again!

I sent this as a Christmas gift to my adult son, who is a chess fanatic. He loves the mug! Not only is it large and sturdy, he also likes the unique square-ish shape.

Nice mug. No flaws in the stoneware. A little pricey but it was a gift for a chess buff.
