Only for wilson combat beavertails!
This is the second jig I purchased. The first was a brownells but since I knew I was going to be using a wilson combat beavertail I bought this one. The two different beavertails and their jigs have vastly different radius'. This jig worked as intended and it wasn't until I fit it to the frame did I realize how much material I was going to have to remove. I'm glad I got the jig to match the beavertail or I would have been stuck for a very long time.

Easy to use, and produces great results
This is a high quality jig, essential for properly reshaping the 1911's tangs to fit a beavertail grip safety. I used this with a stainless frame, and the jig performed flawlessly. I expect to use this on my next build, as well.

Totally worth the money!
Used the guide and it got me really close to where I needed to be but not exact which I loved because it allows you to make it perfect with finer tools. Mine turned out great and cant wait to use it again

This jig is great! As a gunsmith it's important to have the right tools for each job. This tool made easy work turning the GI frame into a beavertail frame. I definitely recommend this to any gunsmith looking to do the job right.

It works fine, which is good because it is really the only option for cutting the tangs down to fit a Wilson grip safety.

These work great,
You line up the top of the jig with the slot for the slide.Use a sharp file and chalk your file often, so it cuts wellI used a belt sander to remove the initial portion, then switched to filing.
