Quilting frames
The quilting frames are so easy to use and set up they are pretty sturdy the size is perfect. I have made 3 quilts so far and I have another one ready to go. I have very little space so this works out great

Went together easily.
Smoothly sanded, lightweight wood makes this frame easy to move. I like that it can shorten for twin or baby quilts. Instructions need to be read entirely prior to assembly to avoid missteps. Instructions detail how to make an attachment binder to install quilting materials. Material is not included. Just use old denim or twill fabric and staple or tack to frame rails. It took about 30 minutes to assemble the frame (even with missteps.)The adjustible tilt function adds needed tension to keep quilt stretched while sewing. It's sturdy enough empty, (but more so with a quilt installed) and comes complete with hardware. You need a couple of sizes of Phillip's screwdrivers and a drill is optional. I've had other frames and this is by far, my choice going forward.

The Best Quilt Frame
I wished I would of purchased this years ago. The set up was easy for me. I figured out laying the quilt sandwich on my king size help out when I started rolling it. I also purchased the extension as most of my quilts are queen and king. The ability to adjust the angle is wonderful especially if the line you are quilting is straight or curved.I read in some reviews that the quilting area was not as tight as desired. To circumvent this I cut a 2x1 board into lengths of 20'. I place these pieces under the quilt to keep the longer pieces apart and to stop the bowing. it helps stabilize the quilting area and also tightens the surface.

Difficult to assemble without appropriate hardware
Item arrived missing hardware and I was unable to put it together. The package was severely damaged and did not seem adequate for the weight of the product. A month after receiving it and I still am not able to assemble and use it, but it is too difficult to return due to the size, weight, and condition that the packaging was already in when it arrived. I'm still hoping to figure out a way to assemble it without the hardware.

Prepping a quilt sandwich for free motion quilting off the floor
I'm getting a little long in the tooth so to speak to get down on a floor and pin layers of a quilt together. I can spread the layers on the floor and then start at one end rolling it up and using clamps to secure everything I can adjust everything between the bars making the layers equal tension. I do one section at a time--basically the length of the stand--adjusting and clamping to make pinning a snap. I'm in a chair, comfortable reach. When done with a section, I roll up the pinned part, adjust again and go for it. Because I can clamp layers down, I can get them pretty tight with no wrinkles. It does take a bit longer than getting on the floor BUT my back and knees don't hurt and I can stop mid-way and continue later. I did read all the reviews and it was really easy to put together and pretty sturdy for I was doing . I did not actually hand quilt using the frame but I didn't have sore knees and back from pinning on the floor.

Disappointed, but weren't other options
I bought this quilting frame to use to tie my quilts. Opened the box and there were no instructions to assemble and no instructions on how to use it. After looking online, I found a set of assembly instructions and was able to put it together. It meets my specifications for size, as I'm making some queen and king sized quilts that I am going to hand tie. It would be nice to have instructions on how to mount the quilt on the frame, so I looked up what others have done and they bought clamps to hold the quilt on the frame, and then each time you want to roll it forward to advance for more tying, all the clamps have to come off.One reviewer said the long slats won't stay in the grooves without a clamp, so I'm off to pick up clamps before I can use it. I will update this review after I have had an opportunity to use it. I'm thinking it is not going to be easy and I'm going to have to get creative on how to mount the quilt onto the frame and then keep it tight so I can tie the quilt. We'll see.... check back in a couple of weeks for an update.
