Sumatra Mandheling Coffee, USDA Organic, Medium Roast, Whole Bean, Fresh Roasted, Kosher, 16-ounce

I am a fella who use to just buy what was on sale at my local supermarket, not anymore... I am not a master of the coffee bean but I have been testing various coffees within the passed year, last three bags have been coffee from Sumatra and Java.. All the coffees I have tried so far have been very good to my taste buds, some took some getting use to, and trial and error from a percolator to now a french press.. I am still experimenting for that perfect cup and although this coffee seems different from the other Sumatran coffees I have tried, the beans are lighter in color and the beans are less oily.. The taste is excellent although a bit different..I will try different amounts and water temperature. (water temps make a huge difference)Only problem I can see is I didn't see a bigger bag, not a big deal tho.I will keep this on my list as a great coffee..FYI a burr grinder is a must.

I bought this for my wife, as she's a SB Sumatra lover. She really enjoys this coffee. It's full bodied, not bitter and smooth to drink. The word on Volcanica is that this is the best coffee in the world and my wife tends to agree, it's definitely top 3 for her. Product arrived well packaged, fresh and completely sealed. The bag was easy to open, unlike two other brands I also bought for her. My wife raves about this coffee and I couldn't be happier. Thank you!

I consider myself a bit of a coffee snob and own a quality drip coffee maker and grinder. I’ve been ordering directly from Volcanica for years and can vouch that they roast some quality beans. When I found out that they sell through Amazon , I wanted to take advantage of the free expedited shipping since I am a prime member. They were definitely good beans and have no complaints. However , if your a fellow coffee snob, what you’re missing is the freshness you get by ordering directly through Volcanica. They roast the beans the day before or even the day they get shipped to you. Nothing beats that smell when you open the package! The beans are still going through the degassing phase when they arrive. Through Amazon , the roasting date was a little over a month ago so they weren’t that old. But, that is what your paying the extra shipping for and in my opinion it’s worth it!

This is really great coffee. I have been trying several different ones to find an exceptional one and this is it. I want to give up cream and sugar in my coffee and this is the first one I have tried that tastes smooth and rich when drinking it black. I mix the beans half and half with Kicking Horse Decaf to cut my caffeine intake and I love it! Highly recommend!

Enjoyed my orders of 10+ bag of single origin coffee beans in the past and they were roasted within 2-3 weeks. Yes, I could smell and taste the freshness.Received my order today and expected the same quality and flavors I enjoyed before; however .....What I got was a cup of NO flavor but bitter brown water; made a second cup, tasted the same.After checking the roasted date I was shocked! Beans I received was roasted on 11/10/21 & 12/28/21, and today is 2/25/22. WOW! Just paid $40 for leftovers. Great Job, Volcanica.Update: Seller offered refunds. Five Stars for communication and service.

Quality equal to a specialist big city coffee house with in-house roasting and pricing to match. So it's expensive but worth the money. I have purchased 3 or 4 different Volcanica coffees and they all tend to be roasted on the lighter side which does bring out the quality in the beans. So you have to like that style which tends to brighter flavor even in a Sumatra which is normally heavier and earthier. All have been roasted within a few weeks of delivery, which is about as good as it gets with Amazon.
