Good drill drivers
I currently have 13 drill drivers in service in my shop and garage, and 4 of them are these Makita's, or the previous model. So that probably tells you something about whether I like them. They charge quickly and provide reasonable torque. They fit well in my hand. I'm not a big guy, about 5'8", and these are perfect. Observations: I dropped one of these drill drivers off a 5' ladder and it was dead -- the light came on but not the drill. I took it apart far enough to know there is no way to access the innards for diagnosis. I also have another on which the chuck loosens as you drill, which is weird and annoying. Overall though, these Makita's have provided, in some cases, decades of service and I think they are worth a look.

Great tools. Don't be fooled by the battery bull hockey.
These drills and drivers are fantastic. I own a few sets. I finally wore one out, (drill), after many years. Bought the tool only, as I have a large stock of batteries. (Note here that the batteries have not changed in 10+years. Kudos to Makita!) But listen: Just ignore the nonsense warnings about third-party batteries. They work every bit as well, and last every bit as long as Makita batteries for 1/3 the price

Good Drill
I ordered this to replace a makita drill that lasted for over 10 years so I'm pretty happy with this brand. This one seems to work good, only complaint is that it had a little bit of a burnt wiring smell when I use it. It seems to be getting better now so hopefully it was just because it is new and that will go away. I have never had that on any other makita tools I've owned.

Great drill for DIYers
I had a very heavy old makita that I needed an upgrade.I recently bought a cordless vacuum and I wanted to use the battery for more than vacuum. This is very lightweight and powerful. We only do light duty work around the house with this. We are very pleased with the purchase.
