The media could not be loaded. If you have small children, get this door closer. We have a door leading to the basement and the stairs is very steep. It's a very dangerous situation with small children. They can accidentally fall down the stairs.Now that our grandson is walking, we didn't want to take any risk with him accidentally falling down the stairs. This product is low cost, super easy to install, and best of all, works very well. It sure beats yelling at your husband to remind him to close the door and that is certainly not a reliable way to solve the problem. The door is closed completely if you adjust the tension correctly. You can adjust the tension by picking the hole to screw in the rod in the appropriate hole. The installation instruction is not very well written but you can figure it out how it works. I would recommend that you do not plug in the holes with white plugs after installation per the instruction. The reason is if you plug in all the open holes, you can't make any adjustment to the tension. Also, save the steel rod for later use if you have to adjust the tension. If you lose it, just use a screw driver instead. This door closer is small and less intrusive than more expensive devices in the market.

Bought this for my daughters room to keep the cat out. I had to have help installing it only because I had trouble with the drill but it was otherwise installed quickly. Once you adjust the tension, it closes easily and softly. Glad I bought it!

It works very well and it is very easy to install, but though the package was sealed, it was missing 2 mounting screws.

The media could not be loaded. I just received and installed 2 of these door closers. One of them replaced a heavy duty closer that I paid 3× more for (and which was hard to install, tore up the door frame, and ended up pulling out of the door - see last set of pictures).These simple closers were easy to install and work just as well if not better than the expensive ones. My only complaint is that the screw heads strip out very easily (so use caution when screwing them in or replace them with better quality screws). I also discovered that using the "2nd hole" for the closing arm provides the right amount of tension to insure that the door closes fully each time. I started in the 1st hole and it did not close fully unless I pulled the door wide open.I just ordered 2 more for my patio doors.

This sweet little gadget worked like a charm. We live in an old house that is a bit off level and the bathroom door always wanted to swing open on its own when it was not latched. It is a heavy wooden door. I was skeptical that this spring device would do the trick but it was quite easy to install and worked slick, quietly, and beautifully. The door closes on its own now with this device.After about a month it began to squeak a bit and I feared that, being so enclosed in plastic, I couldn’t oil the squeaking spring but a dash of WD40 made it good as new again.

The door is 53 pounds and two of the closers are to weak to close the door. I figured two would have done the job but not so much. I had to tighten the closers a second time so it would close and now they are too weak to close the door again.
