Great clamp. Had a difficult face frame job using Lamello cam clamps. Install in a tight place went great.

I was having some difficulty attaching a face frame during an installation and the guy that was helping me had a pair of these. Definitely saved my day. I had made some blocks some years ago, that I pressed some 5mm shelf pins into backwards. I would insert those blocks into my cabinet shelf pin holes to provide a clamping edge. If not careful, though, my shop made blocks would tend to elongate the holes, and the clamps were always at a slight angle, tending to pull the frame stile sideways. Still, I thought I was pretty clever at the time. These Fastcap clamps work much better and provide sufficient pressure, with the force being applied in the correct direction. Kind of pricey? Yes. Worth it when you need it? Absolutely!!!

Purchased three of these clamps and two out of three do not fit my line bore ! (Line bore drill is a Blum minipress 7 spindle head ) Fastcap is a very inovative company but i feel they are lacking on Q.C . On close inspection the pins that engage the line bore are skewed , you can force the clamp into postion but it damages veneer or Melamine on removal !

These clamps are great. Makes face frame installs so much easier. clamps are very sturdy. Will be buying more.

I've been a cabinet maker for a long time. I've tried so many arduous ways to get a perfect scribe on my cabinetry. But it always took two people, or several minutes of block planing it for a tight fit. This thing paid for itself it's first install. It fits perfectly into my shelf pin holes (note, if you're hand drilling your shelf pin holes from a jig it may be really tight if the holes aren't perfectly square) and centers pressure on the cabinet sidewall. I've had it for a month and it's saved me so much time on install. When my loose stiles are scribed I don't have to nail them on because I get great glue pressure from this clamp. It also has a non-marring plastic head (although on soft woods or paint grade I still use a caul). I don't know how I ever lived without this product!!(also, it fits nicely inside my install bag)
